I think the number will actually be closer to 200... The 300 to 400 number was somebody wistfully hoping out loud... at the time there were just over 100 MINIs signed up...

Either way though, it's going to be a BIG event.

>>BabsWife, have you considered calling in sick with the Dragon Flu?

I would call in with the Dragon Flu....if I hadn't already told the office I was leaving for a long weekend. They just won't buy the fact that I got sick before I left....then left on vacation....I dipped into that pot during the extended portion of my Maternity leave....can't do that too many times.

HOWEVER, I can do my WHOLE job remotely (why I get dressed and come in every morning is a complete mystery)....maybe I could "work from home" Hmmmmm....need to work on this idea. Still if I left after work on Wednesday with David....I could be at the Dragon at 1am....Hmmm....Catch a few quick zzz's before David wakes at 6:30am...Drink TONS of coffee.....get totally wired and hyped...hmmm that would give me time to "short sheet" Clover's bed before she got there....here's an idea....or Four.

Hmmm, gotta talk to the Hubby....he'd be bummed I wouldn't be driving with him....but in two cars, we wouldn't be together anyway. I want to go.....NOW!!!!!!!!

Hugs,
PB

Hopefully they put your door back together correctly....we had the window issue...then a HORRIBLE wind noise issue....FINALLY got it fixed....

Yippie....and MINIMiller, if you were at Sterling....why didn't you pop in and visit me??? I'm ACROSS the street, dangit.

BTW Jonathan make sure they put the door back together right... When our driver's side window died they didn't put the window in properly, driving over 60 MPH would cause a lot of wind noise, break 70 (or if it's really windy out) and you could actually see the window moving around, it actually looked like the window was about to be ripped out of the car! It took Sterling 3 tries to get it right (although looking at the paperwork I don't think they bothered to deal with the window 2 of those 3 times)

Hey, Mbabischkin and Kool.... I'll help you with the logistics of the Dam Photo. We should shoot out there perhaps on Thursday before the Atlanta BBQ and throw some ideas together. With some half a$$'ed "blue prints", GMRS radios, and some competent people directing people where to park this should turn out to be pretty cool. IMAGINE how cool this is going to look.

Barring any major accidents or traffic on the way down, I should be in the area by 3pm on Thursday.

Let me know what you guys think.

...some competent people
In that case this will never happen!

I suspect we'll be rolling in around 5'ish (although I really don't know) I'll PM mine and Patricia's cell phone numbers and while we're on I-81 I'm hoping we have cell service... After we get off I-81... who knows...

The count from last year was between 62 and 65 MINI's.

So far we have doubled that number and may actually triple it.

Keep your fingers crossed...

I'd say you can x-out doing any photo op before the Thursday eve dinner, as the vast majority of us won't be there until Thursday evening/night anyway.

In other bad news, The Weather Channel is stating rain in the 10-day forecast. If Mother Nature knows what's best, she'll keep those icky clouds far far away!

And those 3 little days of work are really just a single day at work since nobody gets anything done on Mondays and the day before a vacation will also be equally unproductive.

I know Paddy and I are signed up for that run and are staying at the Microtel. I would imagine that there are others also.

Hey, sndwave, is that a reference to the fact one of the judges might DIE from the chili tasting?

Oh, I so can't wait to leave. I just picked up SURPRISES for the chili cook-off peoples...and dangit they are pretty awesome....

Alrighty, I have 5 days....but only three days to get up for work!!! I may not be sleeping on Tuesday night to get everything done; but I will be happy to be on the road Thursday morning.

Hugs,
PB
