I'm starting to feel like a late comer to the party....so many people leaving already. I'll be sure to turn the lights off before I hit the road on the morning of the 29th.

I'm so happy you can join us Dennis!!! The more the merrier.

Oh...I just can't wait.

Hugs,
PB

I'm driving down from PA on Wed the 28th ........... currently "planning" on taking the scenic route from I-81 south of Bristol - through Pigeon Forge and the GSP - and Cherokee land.

Your best bet, in order to make it Friday morning would probably be at Morristown, TN on 81, just before the 40/81 split. If you are going to try to come in on the eastern side on 40, then better think again. Construction in the south bound land is terrible.. They were backed up 6 miles this last Sunday.. Coming from NC is OK.. not bad from that direction. Ask Koolmini too. He is familiar with the route and places to park. Anybody with any other questions, I'll be glad to try and help.
See you dragoneers soon...........

going through Pigeon Forge and over the Smoky Mountains throught the park would not be a bad alternative. Can also take 321 in Pigeon Forge and go through Townsend and the Foothills parkway is a possibility. Both of these would be fun drives.

if you can go around Pigeon Forge....do it
the only thing scenic about Pigeon Forge is traffic & strip malls

Getting excited also. Got a shiny new digital camera too! Plan on finding a spot in the woods on one of the turns and getting some great action shots of people passing by. PLEASE don't run me over

Last I heard the count for MINIs was over 300 heading quickly for 400. Making this the largest MINI only gathering I've heard of. Count on an average of 1.8 people per car, making the head count around 540.

There could be some people who never gave there name to minicoopersgirl and didn't get on the list, but it's not to late.

For the Master List go here.

http://www.geocities.com/minicoopers...ragonList.html

At this time 151 MINIs are on the list.

Where is the count located at? Do you need to register or just show up?

Holy Cow! 400 cars would make the line over 1 mile long or about 13% of the entire Dragon's tail.

If there are 400 cars. And each car is 12 feet long, assuming there is two car lengths between each car, this makes us 36ft occupied by each car. This is 2.7 miles long. The Dragon's tail is 11 miles long, so that is about 25% of the entire trail will be covered by Minis. That is crazy.
