SO IS THERE SOME OTHER WAY OF KNOWING FOR SURE WHEATHER OR NOT IT HAS THE JCW PACKAGE?

Caps off?

What year is this?

My '04 has Works spelled out down the right side of the intercooler, and also has a JCW Serial number attached to the valve cover. And of course a Works exhaust has distinctive tips, which resemble open barrel ends as opposed to the stock tips that narrow in a cone.

Sounds a nice set of wheels...

On the left end (pulley end) of the valve cover, is there a badge (about 2x3") that says john Cooper Works, and lists the serial number of the install? Should be in plain site, right on the top.

Take your VIN and call a MINI Dealer or MINI USA and have them tell you the original specs.

Some one might have added JCW parts later on. Then debadged it, or it never had the badging.

you said it whines more than the 05 you drove with is due to the M7 intake you said it has. i would agree that you should take the vin to the dealer and ask them about it. they would know the best. unless somewhere on the car it said jcw or if you find that serial number plate on the valve cover. i dont think putting it on the dyno will tell you anything because the car has aftermarket parts on it right now. if it was all stock then you could do that cause if it puts down a # that is consistant with the stock jcw cars then it is for sure a jcw car.

hope that kinda helps. i think your best bet is calling the dealer with the vin and asking about it through them. or finding something on the car that shows its a JCW car.

When you say M7 intake is the AGS or is it the M7/DDM intake?
