Installed TEIN SS coilovers with EDFC

Hi,
Thought you guys might like to know recently purchased TEIN super street coilovers with EDFC, had them installed yesterday with no problems, installed the EDFC myself and had the coilovers installed by the Pro's.

The ride is outstanding compared with the Eibach spring kit I had before, The EDFC is an added advantage being able to adjust the damping rate on the fly.....

Cheers...

Mark

Do you have any pics of the system including interior pics of the adjustment module? I was going to get the H&R springs but I'm anxiously awaiting the Tein R56 setup as the on the fly adjustment seems too good to pass up...

too stiff for street. your car will rattle and mushroom towers in no time.

I wonder if the M7 coil overs that I read so much about today would have been better. oh, what is the country of manufacture for these TEIN products?

Does the EDFD work on any other coil-over system or just the TEIN set up?

That is sweet looking. Did you check my post #11? I am interested in the EDFD, but I did not know if it worked with anything other than the TEIN.

EDFC is designed for TEIN and only certain models. I'm sure it could be adapapted for others but it's basically four boxes with actuators and a control box that turns the adusters for you.

TEIN is made in Japan. They have some nice products, but not sure about wat they were thinking running 500lbs on a 3K lbs car on street.

the thing that drives me away from this system is.
1) spring rates. (although my buddy has them and it's not as bouncy as you would expect)
2) inability to find a camber plate that works with the edfc system.

I gues that's things instead of thing... but w/e you get the picture.

Check out this link for the EDFC unit.

It sounds like you can apply it to other c/o's as long as they have the same adjustment setup.

some lighter cars need stiffer rates. 9k is good for these cars. You can trust tein, these guys test out there cars on the track with many different rates before they bring a product out. BTW 93 rx7 are very light and some of the more expensive manufacturers had 19kg spring rates for them.

Tein had 17kg all the way around for the FD on there ra models/
