Suspension NEX Coilovers
I would bet they are the same products (Megan/NEX/Etc.) being made in China and rebadged as whatever name anyone wants.....that seems to be the case with most of the lower priced coilovers....

Thanks - noticed them on a few sites but hadn't heard much from the MINI crowd about them.
One more ? for you: With these adjustable coilovers, for basic driving are you counting threads exposed to determine if the height is the same or what?

No, these are not Megans. Megans (and similar coilovers) use an adjustable front camber plate as part of the upper spring perch. This is how you can tell if they come from same manufacturer. Nex re-uses the stock spring perch for the front suspension. Also, the Nex front springs have different spring circumference from top to bottom whereas the megans have same from top to bottom.
This kit actually looks more like the PSS9.
Interesting, the more I look at them, it seems to be a designed half way between the PSS9 and Megans. Where the Nex have full ride heigth adjustability w/o loss of damper travel but no camber plates or adjustable dampers. As with the PSS9 if you adjust the heigth, you loose damper travel. I'm kind of liking the design as they kept the front springs similar to stock.
Anybody out there running on them???

What I like about coilovers is all of there adjustability. With straight springs you can buy new springs from better spring manufacturers (all you need is the inner diameter and length). These coilover companies may make good shocks but the springs most definately sucks.
Whenever I buy coilovers for any of my cars, I buy new springs from a company called SWIFT. Here is my philosophy- Europe makes awesome shocks (moton, quantom, bilstein)
Japan makes the best springs- they are the best in the world in metalurgy.
anyways That is why I prefer the straight springs.
