I'm there too !

Ordered mine yesterday, and got a slot for Production Week 28 ! MINIUSA still shows it as a Dark Silver MCS; but mine is a Blk/Sparkling Silver MCSa for my wife. The car was at Status 112 (Order Scheduled for Production). Hope the changes stick in the MINI computer system ! Mama got tired of shifting the trans in her 04 MCS

This is MINI #6 from Classic MINI in Mentor, Ohio. Plan to fly out from CA to Columbus on Skybus Air, get to Classic on a Fri morning, then head west. Might make a road trip out of it with my daughter before she goes back to college.

I had talked to 2 local Bay Area dealers (who are finally selling @ MSRP, but one was only had production in September, and the other in Week 32 (August) with an October delivery. With the east/midwest cars landing in N.J. it's just half a day to the dealer from the VDC...no Panama Canal detour to get to CA, so it's approx 2 weeks quicker .

Congratulation on your MINI purchase. Let's hope we've on the same boat.

Charlie

Mine went into production today.
I will call it Ronkovic.
PW/PW, DSG, SS, MFSW, Fogs, Anthracite HL, Arm Rest

($400 for an armrest and a black headliner...I must be getting soft...I'm too 'wide' for the sports seats).

Yes, the completion date determines the week. The current week is week 27. This upcoming Sunday starts week 28. Don't be surprised if your Mini isnt' finished until the 10th. Mine was scheduled to be completed on a Monday and it didn't update in the system as completed until the following day (Tuesday). If you haven't already, it may not be a bad idea too peruse the previous weeks support group topics. We've probably answered the majority of your questions. I went back 3 weeks when I was looking through them.

EDIT: You'll also see how bad some of us have MOCD or MCOCD however, you want to call it.

I actually think it would be cooler for me if it wasn't finished until the 10th....since that's my b-day

Okay, I'm getting the bug. No new info given to me yesterday while at the dealership for a friends Mini delivery.

I'm having the hubby call ASAP to see if he can get some different information.

There is a MOCD support topic in the General Mini Talk forums.

are you also calling 1.866.275.6464?
that was the number that told me first that my car went into production. the miniusa.com's owners lounge was a day behind on changing from on order to in production.

MOCD stands for Mini Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and MCOCD stands for Mini Cooper Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Great news! If you are in production week 28 that means that your vehicle should be completed next week. You should have a status of scheduled for production in the OL. It has probably already started being built.

yea i got my status change on ask mini on tuesday and it had a vin by then also. so i figured it started production either sunday or monday.

by the way you can download the owners manual from the owners lounge just got your mini> then look to the left of the page and you will see owners manual. click on it and you can either view it or download it. i download it and already skimmed through it.

congrats on being on week 28. you probably know this but if you call 1.866 ask mini (275.6464) it will give you an estimated completion date also.

Congrats, its moving right along. I don't think they work on Sundays (or at least they didn't seem to, my Mini was in the paint shop from Saturday through Monday). But your Mini will be completed by Tuesday.

either way is cool with me, it's still saying est. date of completion is july 8th though. either way is fine with me.

would be better if it said your car will be at your dealership on july 8th

Yes, that would be very nice. Its too bad they can't teleport them over. Each dealership would have their own transporter pad, beam it over Scotty... Maybe in another 50 years... <sigh>

Guess I will join this week, since ASK MINI live was way off on informing me that I was in production last Sunday, and as of yesterday was only in the paint shop.

From the information I have found on the Mini factory, the Mini pages state it runs 24/7. But another page states the paint shop runs two shifts during the week and only one on weekends. The body & acces shops are suppose to take 8 hours each, and paint shop 10 hours. Well this is all intresting information, does not really help us that are waiting.

Was reading on mini2.com about a memebr that lives in Oxford, ordered a Mini and his wait time for delivery was 3 months. Compared to that we are all doing well.

Ouch...and they wouldn't even have the shipping wait. But then they probably sell a lot more of them in the UK than they do here and thus would have a longer wait, even if they had more being produced for them.

Yay, week 28 production, ordered week 27

I just ordered my MCS on Thursday July 5 and my MA called today to let me know it's in production and scheduled to be completed on July 13 (Friday the 13th?!)!

He said it should be at the dealership by August 13, which I'm hoping is an overestimation. (Baron BMW/MINI in Merriam, KS)

I'm surpriseed how quick that turn-around was! I ordered a BRG, white top/mirrors, cold weather package, auto trans, DSC, sunroof, and xenons.

Ooh, I can't wait!
