Very nice collection, aminicooper!!! Of course after close study of your photos, I have some questions. Under the photo in the Ads#2 what are the postcards in the upper righthand corner? Are they all from MINIUSA or other countries- A couple looked familiar but then I wasn't sure. And the photo under I-MINIs what are the silver MINIs in the lower right hand -are they antena toppers? And where did they come from? Hmmmm?

 

The silver MINIs in the lower right hand corner (same pic with the Italian Job ball), is a mini magnet a friend's mom got in Germany BMW tour/gift shop (she had a few in different colors and kindly gave me one). I believe they are also the kinds where you pull them back they will go (like a Penny Racer). I only have one, I clipped a better photo and just snuck it into the group shot.

In the Ad #2 photo, the cards in the upper right, they're actual postcards sent by MINIUSA when you filled out the Send a Postcard on their website (I think this was Spring '03). I sent those postcards to myself I think there were some other cards that I didn't send myself.

The only one that's "foreign" in Ad #2 is the red cut-out card (bottom row, middle item). That's from Canada, a friend of mine go while visiting. On the back it says "mini.ca".

I also picked up a Chili Red and White tiny pull-back MINI magnet Funcar from Germany (like those silver ones). They come in many colors. I'll try to get some more.



I found two old Maxim magazines today, one with the barf bag ad, and the other...the fourth oval stickers ad (LET'S GO FROM NJ TO NY...), the last one of the 4 I needed!



I sent myself two postcards from MINIUSA.com in 2003: One is an IB/W with white bonnet stripes and the aero kit, the other is the red boxing glove and CR/W MINI. Are there others?

Funny thing about those postcards- I sent them to myself also! I think I sent all that were originally listed on the site but only receive one!!! My contact at MINIUSA thought that the postman maybe liked MINI's as she had heard that not very many pc's were actually getting to anyone who had requested them! So if you all got two- lucky for you!!!

I still wonder why they haven't put those out again- Maybe because the other countries have so many? I have the Canadian pc also-It's a cool one !

Oh and James! Tell Peter about the individual state stickers!!!! Don't forget about those!!!!

 

I have three postcards that I sent myself from MINIUSA... IB/White with aero kit and R90s, Chili Red w/ boxing glove, and IB with an American Flag roof. Cool to learn I wasn't the only one who did that!

now, to get the various states in the various sizes (different sizes issued for different size magazines...) LOL

Right. Help me out here, everyone. In the vending machine at Downtown MINI in Orlando are some white oval stickers. They have USA and FL. I was wondering if dealers in other states offer the stickers for their state. I'd like to trade FL (and USA if needed) for your state oval sticker. (These are not the ones from the ads, they are individual stickers.)

Thought things got a little quiet here on this thread so I thought I'd see what was up?

Anyone ever get an ad of the MINI with Puma when they did their thing together? I've never seen one but figure there must have been at least one somewhere-

Also, the die cast guys and girls got quiet too- probably all rooting for the Steelers yesterday wore everyone out!!!

Oh and how about a thread with MINI toys(not cars)? You know Motoring Ball, Bull Dog, and maybe you all have something else that's cool!

Wasn't sure where to post this but I haven't seen it listed in the hunters guide. I got it from MINIusa but I think it came out of a mag cause there is another advert on the back of one of the pages. Must have been a hunting mag cause the ad on the back is for a camo jacket.

Well I got a page number, and like I said, the ad on the revers page is for a camo hunting jacket. Pages are kind of tall, so not a typical sized mag.

 

Tall pages sounds like A4 size, maybe. Might be from a British or even Canadian magazine? Is anything spelled with an extra u? :smile:

I swear I saw somthing like that on ebay last year- the guy who was selling it told me it was from some marketing magazine and was from maybe 2001- I could be hallucinating though but seeing the photo makes me think about it- The ad was sold in a lot as I recall and probably went for way out of my price range! But again, very cool, Meg! We'll all have to be on a mission to find out more about it!!!

 

It might be from a marketing mag since it has all that extra info on the back side of the ad.

 

Anyone get the latest issue of MINI International yet? Just wondering.....
