Hi All!
I'm looking for an extra (as I currently have one on my beautiful MINI) black Italian job antenna ball. Anyone have an extra? I have stuff to trade or would even purchase it if we can't arrive an a fair trade. Mine's getting older and I should have gotten an extra when I got my car but I was so awe struck then that I wasn't thinking clearly! I do have a Sirris dog antenna ball for my collection but since I don't have the sound system, I didn't feel right about putting it up there! Anyway let me know if you all know how to get a hold of one-I'll take the yellow if that's all that's available but I really would like the black if possible! Thanks!!!

Hi Anne. I have an extra one I found cleaning out a closet last weekend. I'll send it to you. Do you have one in another color? I'm looking for a yellow or white one.

Yikes! There is white too!!! Oh my!! James, I'm still on the look out for some of your things but have nothing to trade right now- Waiting for people to clean out their closets after the holidays and bring in their old magazines! It seems like a slow time as far as MINI goodies, at least to me!

And those diecast people are wild in their collecting! It makes me feel better that my MINI collection isn't so strange! I'm anxiously awating to see Donna and Mike's early ad collection to see what we're missing!!! And the displays from that thread-WOW

Hey Anne. No problem if you don't have something to trade. I'm sure you will find something eventually and we'll be even. I can still get those IJ antenna ***** from the vending machine at Downtown MINI.

Is that Sirius dog antenna ball really a ball, or is it a foam dog-shaped antenna topper (which I have)?

I'm not 100% on the white Italian Job antenna ball, but I've seen the yellow and possibly a white/cream one which I thought was an IJ ball. Maybe someone here can confirm.

A list of Italian Job collectibles is almost worthy of its own thread. I have US (and UK) posters, stickers, and antenna *****, plus some IJ stuff from Germany.

Hi All! Two things....

First- These is a MINI Magical Motoring Ball currently for sale on ebay. These are pretty rare- I think my box says 2001 for the year. Just an FYI- I'm not the seller but do have one of these myself and love it!! There are about 20 different answers that you can get when you ask you Motoring Ball a question- quiet a hoot!!!!

Second- I have picked up a lot of UJ stuff, including a small suitcase and folding chair from a place called the Union Jack Store. The web site is www.unionjackstore.com. They do have some MINIs but mostly things with the UJ on them- You all may want to check it out if you have the interest.

Have a super night!!!
Go Steelers!!!!

Danger! Announcing this on the collectibles could seriously drive up the price! [high bidder @ 9:38pm ]

We have a Union Jack store nearby - very close to MINI Peabody in fact! They have a couple of Mini models but they are mostly a British foods store, and no web site.

I know when I saw annes' post, I think my exact words were "Damn, I was watching that!" The last one that was up for auction went for around $100, but it had the OEM box.

It's already above my limit, I'll have to save more lunch money, so you're safe GB

Sorry Smokey about letting everyone know about the Motoring Ball. I guess I wasn't really thinking that if you were interested now everyone else migh be too. Sorry...

I'm still checking to see if any of the convertible owners have received their "WELCOME" kit yet? I'm interested to see what they get.

Got mine Saturday. Contained the same stuff as the 2002 Coupe kit plus an Encyclopedia of Open Motoring...a book from MINI Financial...and a business card holder containing 6 different mini-cards...2 each..each with a stock MINI slogan on the back...plus the usual roadside assistance card...MINI Idiosyncracies...Bingo...the Journal...MINI Messaging Card Set...

Peter...well stocked in this area...in Denver

No problem annes, the nature of the internet I guess It would have been out of my price range rather quickly, so no harm.

Now, GB might be another matter I see he's still holding strong as #1. Good luck!

Oh, I guess we better stop talking about it now

Thanks for the information, guys! Peter you must be disappointed-I know that I am! And for all you ebayers-I'll try and keep things more low key in the future- I used to previously bid late in the auctions so I could see where the price would go but now that I think several people know who I am, I figure, if I bid early, maybe I can mark my desire for the item and anyone who knows me who's not really, totally interested maybe won't bid against me...maybe... oh well....

There is a lot of cool stuff out there...but my favorite is probably one of the new convertible ads.

I pulled it out of Car and Driver I think...it's the one with the contract (pink/yellow/white layers) and the little "Sign Here" tab.

The more rare stuff is cool also but I just love that ad...so creative and fun.

One last picture for the night - my parents had this made for us...They asked us for a picture of Scooter - took it to a local company here in San Diego...it's one of the glass 3D things I know you've probably seen in Hallmark stores or Kiosks at the mall...

Chow!

Hi Donna! Thanks for sharing some of your collection with us!!! I'm familiar with the World News paper with Bat Boy and the Original Motorer Sticker but what is the hang tag from? Was it attached to something that you purchased? Sorry to be so nosey but it's something I haven't seen before so that makes it rare in my book!!! Also, just curious but did you get your World News when it came out new or did you get it from someone? Thanks again for the info!!!!!

Anne, I think that hang-tag is supposed to be hanging from the rear-view mirror when you take delivery. I didn't have one in either of the MINIs when I got them, though. Hopefully someone will confirm it.

Hi annes,

The World News paper we've had since it came out. Right after that, we had a MINI lunch and run. One of the members made BIG copies of the Bat Boy face and glued them to popsicle sticks and we all put them in our windows for the drive. It was so funny!!

The hang tag was on our first MINI when it was delivered. I don't know if the newer ones are coming with them now or not. Our Cabrio didn't have one....

Chow!

Thanks for the info Donna! And you were right James! When I got my '03 I didn't have a hang tag and I'm guessing that they must be pretty rare as most people just probably just threw them away(Horrors!!) Very interesting though....something new to look for!!
