TwOMINIs :: August Photo Contest Winner

TwOMINIs was the winner of August's Photo Contest with the topic "black and white" with 55 Entries.

Congratulations!

August's Photo Contest was sponsored by VacuCam

The prize for this month will be a VacuCam Tow Hook camera mount. Although it's still being manufactured, it will be sent to the winner when its finished. (Minus the Camera and Red Tow Hook). Better pictures coming later, but it's compatible with any small video/still camera.

If that doesn't appeal to the winner, they can opt to receive a detailing DVD.

In either case, the Tow Hook mount is there to increase your shooting options or the DVD is there to help you maximize the shine on your MINI for the next photo shoot!

Thanks OctaneGuy!

I'm sure if you offered monetary compensation the photographer would comply.

Thanks

WOW,

Thanks for all the votes , comments and pm's along the way.

The picture was taken in front of the Milwaukee Art Museum

It was taken w/ a Sony DSC-V1 camera, w/o a tripod, (didnt follow Dave's rules )

It was converted to B/W using PS to remove color.

Here is a Hi-Res copy.

Thanks for the compliments. I have to thank my wife for the suggestions, as I originally took a picture in that spot with the car in a side profile. ( it's a no parking zone and I was in a rush. ) She suggested going back, and going front on, such that the bonnet stripes would blend in w/ the arch.......and she noted that the arches make a "M" for MINI....she is a genius. ....Still trying to come up w/ an idea for this months showing....I have several swirling about.

FYI - Sites like DeviantArt.com allow people to post images that can then be ordered from them as a graphic... small to poster sizes are available, should you want to make this available. I'd likely buy one if I could get it in a framable size, BTW... I'm not sure how the site pays you for your work, but I assume you get a small cut of every unit sold. Better than nothing, anyway...

Nice job!
