In that spirit I just removed the photo from view in this thread. It is included in the contest gallery and will be part of the poll.

Wow, my first contest and my chances are getting better and better!

I have a horrible nikon coolpix 4600, and my pictures came out looking like a one megapxl, not a 4. . . Then when I resize, it makes it worse!

Can anyone give me a clue for what to do? How does eveyone get pics to look so smooth?

Try uploading to a photo hosting site as many will auto rezie without quality loss, or you can go back to the original image and rezize in many steps instead of one as that seems to retain quality better.

Edit:Skip the first idea, as you have to upload the photo from the hard drive.

In a nutshell, my photos are very blurry/fuzzy after I resize them to ~800x600 pixels. I need to use a "sharpen" tool on them once they've been resized which fixes the fuzzies. Not sure what photo editing software you're using, but all should have the ability to sharpen a photo. Other tools to look for in your image editor is levels and curves as they really help the photo look like it did when you took it.

uber was not an actual entery. I think I just mistyped "user" as a username while I was putting the initial list together quickly.

Therefore there were actually 55 enties, not 56. Also, there was one entry that came in after the contest submittal deadline.
