Can you use a monitor as a digital camera's LCD?
Can I hook up a monitor to a digital camera (have 2 Pentax's) to use the monitor as the LCD instead of the built in screen? Trying to set up a 'photo booth' type environment.
You guys are mighty inventive and thought you might have suggestions.
Thanks!

some digital cameras have either a video out port that will let you connect it to a video screen and will show anything that is on the preview screen of your camera.
Other cameras shoot in a tethered mode - where the camera is hooked directly to a computer - and with special software, you are able to view the images on a monitor.
I have done this with several Nikon, Canon, and Fuji cameras, but I am not familiar with the Pentax's.

Thanks! I always thought the video out port was only for previewing the photos, but I will try it out. (once I find the cable) I am almost positive there is a tether available for one of my cameras which I was planning on getting for this purpose.
Would much rather prefer to get this to work and not have to use my laptop for the job.
