I was driving the Red Mini in the instructor group. I think we were on the same instructing team? Anyway, I am always glad to let some body take the Mini out for a session. Of course there is always reciprocity.
I am also a member at the Ranch, so next time you see me at the track please stop by, I have a great quote from my 76 year old Dad to share with you. It is a good laugh.

Ok, since no one followed through with hosting the video, I've decided to host it again. I also have Jason's (in the Mini) incar video hosted. Both files are zipped so have to download them, unzip them and then watch them. Too many were watching them in streaming mode (uses too much bandwidth). Anyway, if traffic gets too high again, I'll take them down.
Well, I just noticed that one of the videos is corrupt (mine), here is the Mini incar and I'll put up mine tonight. Enjoy:

Hey there folks, this is Matt over at Mini-Madness.
We've edited the videos to be shorter in length while still getting the point across, in short it's a much easier download.
Here is some clarification on Jason's comments earlier...
Since Jason and Steve Diniz are a couple of our sponsored drivers, here are some specs of their car. It is a fully modified race prepped MINI putting out around 230 at the wheels.
Modifications include but are not limited to:
Madness 15% Supercharger Pulley
Custom cold air intake
Madness throttle body
Madness Header with straight pipe..
Custom straight back exhaust (obviously
)
Madness big valve cylinder head and schrick cam
Port matched intake manifold
Madness water to air intercooler
Madness oil cooler
EVOtech stage 5 ECU tuning
LEDA coilover suspension
Madness rear swaybar
Quaife LSD
Flywheel and clutch
Madness short shifter.... etc etc etc
In short this is not just some run of the mill MINI. It's about as fully modified as you can get without bringing a turbo into the equation, that's a work in progress
If anyone wants more info on this car, don't hesitate to give us a call or email us directly.

Hey, this is Jason driver of the Mini. I must say George did a great job, It was definatelly a fun race. It was tough to get by, my whole plan from the start was to pressure him as much as possible to cause a mistake. In the end It paid off but it could have gone either way.
I must admit I made some mistakes too, we had trouble adjusting the mini and still had a little too much understeer (looks like i missed almost every apex by about two feet, woops hehe), also having a 993 in the mirror did not help.
The stability control for the Mini was disconected, It's impossible to be fast with it on as it induces massive understeer when at the limit.
The engine on the Mini is a stock Cooper S motor with a 10% smaller pulley and a different cam, open exhaust, so its nothing insane. About 200hp, but the car is light, I was surprized when i noticed i could keep up on the straights.
Overall it was a great race, and a pleasure racing with a 993 (my dream car)"
Not as modded as you think!

Thanks Matt. I'm not good at editing (I'm not creative). Any advice you can give me on doing a better job?
Damn, that's more hp than I though. Hell, I'm only getting 245hp at the rear wheels and I have to weigh at least 3064lbs. What's the weight on the Mini?

Matt,
That's kind of funny, you thought it was a turbo. Lot's people ask me that. Nope, it's just a stock N/A flat six. I can't touch my engine or tranny or just about anything and still stay in my class (PCA - Stock D). I don't even have an LSD.

In the videos please disregard the "turbo" comment folks.
Thanks for the videos! I just thought I would let you guys know that if any video needs to be re-hosted, you can do that on http://www.picapic.net. They have free video hosting! Use it!
It took me some searching but I found the videos:
