A friend asked me a while ago if I would be interested in doing a photoshoot of her and her Mini Cooper S Convertible. Of course I said yes, but since I'd never done any shoots with a model, I was understandibly nervous.

With the help of the Googles, I came to this site looking for ideas and suggestions, and found both. The following photos are the result of those ideas. My way of saying "great site", and giving you all a little eye candy to stare at.

Great pics! No offense to the model, but my favorite ones are the ones where she's not looking into your camera.. seems more genuine and awesome, especially the view from the rear where she's..... buckling her shoe??

 

She'd never modeled before, so it was a first for both of us. I think we both learned a lot from this shoot. I know I did. We may do something in the future with my motorbike, but it's just an idea at this point.

 

Great photos! My favorites are the one buckling her shoe and the one where she is laying in the back of the car. I wish I could find someone who wanted to do a photoshoot of me and my car.

I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever up that way. You Mini folk seem to like to mass together in groups. Like gazelles. Or wildabeasts. I'm not sure where I'm going with this.

Anyway, they seem like fun little cars. I drove a used 2006 base model Mini a couple of years ago when I was bored one afternoon. It was a blast. Like a road-legal go-kart with windows and a roll cage. So much fun.

She has a very Jennifer Love Hewitt look to her, I like that. Nice photos, a few of them would go well in our Monthly Photo Contest. Just thinking out loud.

Meh... I'm not really a "contest" kinda person. I do this stuff for fun, not really to compete or brag.

There's "moar" over on the BKS Facebook page. Some of the shots are similar, as are the poses, and I didn't want to junk up the post with 3 or 4 variations of the same angle.

 

There's no bragging in our photo contests! And no prizes either... Wait, why do I enter photos again? Oh thats right... for fun.

On a serious note she gorgeous, and the photography is just as gorgeous as her...Put a link to your face book in your signature, ide like to see the differnt work you do. Due to my moms family living in and around williamsburg i am always down there, maybe we could meet up and you can take some pics of just my Mini....I dont want to break your camera

I could go on and on about my reasons, and probably not make any sense.

Essentially, neither the car, nor the girl, are mine, so winning a contest due to either would make me feel guilty. The model said she might be a member on this site, but doesn't know for sure, as she's not a big forum user. I'll leave it up to her if she wants to enter a photo in.

She is not. Married to another one of my good friends.

These were taken in Newport News and in Hampton. I'd scouted each location a few months before, and we had to wait for both the temps to come up, as well as the trees/flowers to bloom. We planned on a day, and just lucked out that the weather was PERFECT. Although I wish I'd waited an hour or two for better light.

I don't do much "for hire" work, but will do work out of convenience, or to learn. This isn't a job for me... it's a hobby. Hence the lack of piles of equipment, advanced photoshopping, and high prices.
