The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data). Photos posted to this thread do not count. You must upload photos to the monthly photo contest gallery in order to be entered.


Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

 

Aaargh! Not "summer"! Here I am with temperatures in the 30s and 40s (F), rain, fog and frost - and I've got to take a summer picture!
This will require some inventiveness...

Now there's a thought! Maybe not quite in the spirit of things though...

I've come up with a concept that might work if I can pull it off.

Pretty much every photo taken in Miami at any time of year has the "summertime" feel

I haven't been that inspired by this topic, I have a reasonable shot I could enter, or there's one which was actually taken by my wife (with my camera) while I was driving. I suppose if I wanted to enter that one, my wife would have to get an account and submit it under her login.

 

meh, I wouldn't worry about creating an account for her if she doesn't already have one. As long as you don't have two photos from one account, it won't be a problem. Go ahead and submit it.

We have a handful of entries so far, so the odds are pretty good (hint hint to anyone still on the fence, go ahead and submit a photo if you have one from this month)

 

Unfortunately I'm without a MINI to photograph! I was sick for ages and finally the MINI fell sick in sympathy (wasn't that nice of it? ) It's languishing in the dealer's workshop waiting for a part from Germany.

 

I just submitted the one my wife took. Not very theme, but a nice MINI shot.

 

There better be more entries than usual, I finally got out and got some good shots to edit yesterday. The more entries the better for everyone! I love seeing what other photographers can come up with.

 

I was not inspired at all, I guess because I can't wait for summer to be gone. I look forward to seeing the entries~
