Take The Red & White Photo Tour !
Take The Red & White Photo Tour !
Okay, it's not CHILI Red and PEPPER White, but I thought this farm property presented a pretty good photo op. I pass it every day on my daily commute but I've been waiting for the trees and flowers to bloom and for a gorgeous weekend morning to take some pics.
So, yesterday morning I got up early and washed and Hydro'd both of The Twins for the event. We took the 20 minute drive to this farm.
When we arrived, I went looking for the owners to get permission to take the pics. Explaining that we have a pair of Red and White MINI Coopers, I first had to answer her question, "what in the world is a MINI Cooper??". After explaining it's a cute little British car, and received her permission, I got a personal tour of the property where she showed me the best places to take photos. Notice how tightly I was hanging on. The g-forces when that golf cart rounded corners was nothing short of amazing. Also, take note of the paint job on the golf cart:

Here's one of my favorites, the pic of the main farm house. You can see how much she loves Red and White... smart lady !!

Here's one of two barns on the property:

Believe it or not, this isn't a motel... it's a dog boarding kennel.
I've been driving by it for months thinking, "We'll have to try that little motel out one of these days". Well... might still try it !

Finally, this is the original house built on the property. The back side of the home is made of logs and was constructed back in the mid 1700's. The front, stone portion of the home was added around the Civil War times, in the mid 1800's. Had to take the opportunity to show off the Twins' cute butts... ummmm... I mean boots.

^ Can you count the shiny "stars" on the back of Bergey (CR) ? That's a Prima Swirl/Finish/Epic/Hydro/Slick shine on him.
Hope you've enjoyed the tour of this gorgeous farm property. It's located in south Carroll County, Maryland, right on Route 26 between Eldersburg and Frederick.

Thanks, Patti ! Glad you like those pics... trying to decide which one I'm going to have made into a poster for the garage.
Glad you love the MINIs, too. But the CR one looks a lot different these days. I added a checkered roof about a month ago, right after those pics were taken. Check out the first pic in my gallery.

^ Yeah, I'm leaning toward that one for the overall presentation. Hard to pass up on the next one though with the little bridge over the stream and the branches of the cherry tree framing the pic.
I have a few other pics that I didn't even post that are in consideration also. But I have more time to consider as I have other mods for the CR Cooper that have priority right now.
Thanks for your input, Jpolson !

By the way, based on your sig, I would say you're into gardening. Give me a few days, I'm going to post some pics of my landscaping projects and some of my coolest shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Look for them in the "Gardening" thread.

Thanks a ton, dix !
Yes, those farm buildings were just too great a photo op to pass up. Taking the pics was a lot of fun, too. The property owner was just as nice as she could be. And he expression on her face when she asked, "What in the W O R L D is a MINI Cooper?", was priceless.
(she hadn't seen the cars yet because she was working with the boarding German Shephards out by the big barn--not pictured).
