A Kansas Club...
Go for it! Those of us from the "other" end of MO would love to meet up with some Kansas folks.
While traveling to Colorado this summer, we saw quite a few MINIs while passing through KS (it is a WIDE State
).

I rented a MINI from Payless Rent a Car at KCI. Not cheap though, they consider it a premium car.
OK - I know its been a while from my original post - but - spent some time at a car show today in east Wichita and there seemed to be a lot of interest in this WAMO thing. Lets see a show of hands and some contact info and we will see if we can have a little get together. BTW we did have 12 minis in the show (old and new) and 4 others showed up just to see. Not bad for Wichita I think.

You are very welcome to show up - but a minimum safe distance must be maintained from any mini so that drooling does not interfere with safe vehicle operation or cause slip hazard.

Bigs sounds fine by me. Derek does your new schedule let you get back in town by Friday night?
Y'all should talk to Jim Petersen
the Colonel of C.O.R.N. He started up the NE club two years ago and it went gangbusters. He has lots of tactics (short on strategy for a military guy) and they worked.
You may wish to consider using a business card with your club contact info and a logo. Tag every MINI you see, no matter where it is. (a card fits nicely between the driver window and door frame. Can't be missed).
Find CORN right here in NAM. Zyamfier is his handle.

We are definitely interested in WAMO, though our little MINI had a tangle with a dog on 96, so it will be out of commission for a little while
Anyone have a suggestion for a good auto body shop in the Wichita area?

good body shop
I recently has some excellent body work done on my MINI in Wichita by Greg Johnson at Auto Body Complex. They are on Kansas between 1st and 2nd, right by 135 (get off 135 at the 1st/2nd exit, go E on 2nd to the first street and that's Kansas, go left and their entrance is a couple hundred feet down). The shop doesn't look like much, but Greg spends half his time on body work and half doing automotive sculpture - he's really good. I was referred there by Autobahn Power which does some MINI work in town. Auto Body Complex took a couple of small dents and big scratches out of my hood and repainted it, dealt with all of the insurance paperwork, and even came in under the insurance quote by a bit so I saved a little money. The dark silver color match is perfect and the hood is probably smoother now than when the car was new.
I came away very happy. Tell them I sent you (most of their business is referrals) - Jeff Matson with the dark silver MINI. I had the car there early in April, so they will remember me. Good luck getting the MINI back on the road!

That's My Car
That would be our little Mini. Thank you for the recommendation. We are counting the days until we get our car back. Our Toyota Corolla rental just isn't as fun.
Hope the rental hasn't driven you crazy yet! Stopped in at Auto Body Complex this morning to get them to touch up a rock chip I got last week on 135, and saw your car was still there waiting for parts. It's being well taken care of. Can I ask how dark your window tints are? I am thinking of getting some tints this summer.
