A Kansas Club...

I would like to create a Kansas club! Any interests? And any ideas for names?

When you get a club together, let us know, we're here to help with forums, a calendar, and hosting for your club site.

It is a Kansas City club. There is a BIG state out there too! I was just seeing if there was an interest!

I visited in-laws in Pratt, KS last summer and saw 3 MINIs zipping around town. Statistically speaking you should not have any trouble getting members.

Me too ! Me too !

I spent five years at McConnell AFB in Wichita, two different tours of duty. I have family there and will be visiting in June.

Honorary membership #2, please ! That is, if you find enough interest to form a club. Good luck !

How about Amok Mini's of Kansas (AMOK)? <--Insert GNU or Star Trek reference here . Unfortunately the acronym has been taken by Arkansas MINI Owners Klub (AMOK). Pesky Arkansawyers...

Seriously though, if you find start a state-wide club let me know. I would really like to travel off the beaten path in KS. I-70 and I-35 are so dull (excluding the Flint Hills, of course).

A few of us are trying to start a club for the South Central/Wichita area. Spookily enough called WAMO (Wichta Area Mini Owners). There seems to be a lot of mini's (old and new) in the area. All are welcome. Let me know if you are interested.

Where in the Wichita area do you take a new MINI for service? My Cooper S has recently gone past its warranty, and I need a good shop familiar with the car to look at a fan noise & vibration. Thanks! Also, I'd happily join a group of Wichita enthusiasts - I live right in Old Town.

Posted in another thread but no response yet, does anyone know of a rental car company that rents MINIs around KC?

Get in touch with the British car club here in wichita.....Since there are so few of us and many MINI owners are actually British car enthusiasts that club has kinda adopted the MINI's into the club.

PM me if you want - I'm part of the British Car Club here in Wichita - There are a few of us willing to lend a hand to fellow mini owners

Just added a couple of photos to my gallery of some local cars, I plan to add some more soon. I hope we can start planning our first get together within the next week or two. We all seem to be real busy at the moment. A couple of us are planning on going to the WSU car show tomorrow afternoon (sept 30th) if any of you are in the area - stop by and say hello.

Cheers

Derek

Anyone out at the SCCA Runoffs in Topeka this week?

I'll be there Fri and Sat (I work for the Topeka Capital-Journal, and I'll be there covering the event) I'll be the young dorky guy w/ a bunch of cameras, so make sure and say hi.
