As most of you know we're leaving next Thursady and won't be back 'til the 30th.

I'm sad cause we'll miss everyone at the next meeting and Ice Cream run.

I won't be able to drive my MINI for two weeks!:impatient

But I'm really looking forward to our Christmas Party and Christmas Tree Lane annual Run.

Oh! BTW I know Diane told all you Mid Cal'ers that we're in the MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
We got our letter of acceptance yesterday and we're assigned to the GARFIELD BALOON!!

So if you all are up early enough watch out for us or just TIVO it.
I'll have my Mid-Cal T-shirt on under my winter coat & Garfield Costume.

I want to wish everyone a Warm and Wonderful Thanksgiving.
I have a lot to be Thankful for. My car, my wife, my car, my Mid Cal Mini's family, my car, my daughters, my car...........
I can't wait to get home, drive my car and see you all.

Whoo Hoo....how cool is that Just so happens that we will be back there at the same time. How ever we will be watching from the warmth of the hotel room...and have to fly back to Sac just as soon as the parade is over. I will pay close attention the the Garfield baloon 'n snap as may pic's as I can.

The costume is basically a coverall.

Nothing in the way of a mask or anything.

I drove my Car as soon as I got back.
Like a Heroine addict, seeing MINI's all over and not being able to drive one was excrutiating!!!!

Yup...we were there...tried to get out to where they were inflating the balloons on Wed's night...but would have taken all night with the traffic. I still have photo's in my camera, however we didn't get the rooms we reserved....long story, but was able to get a few from the 43rd floor looking down at Times Square. My gf and her sister were able to weasle to the top of the stands at the very begining of the parade route and have some good photo's....just not digital.
I will post what I have soon.........

Robert, we stopped by your house on Saturday night, but no answer. I was around the corner (literally) at a photo shoot. Diane's car was in the driveway, and little shatzie(sp?) said hello

We go uptown to see the balloons being inflated every year except this year.
We started from 81st & Central Park West, where the balloons were staged.
I'm positive that we went right by the stands you spoke of.
