Same Here

Thanks William, it was a pleasure meeting all of you who turned out.
I'm hoping to meet up again soon, whether we drive up or you guys & gals drive to the valley.

Yes, we did get home safe & sound. Well almost!

SRTECH somehow ran into an 8" coil spring that came bouncing down the road out of nowhere. I have not heard what the damage is as of yet.

Then we ran into a Band Of Bee's at a rest stop. No very pleasant.

So we ended up at my house for some grub & BEER!

We did talk about a few future runs to the Coast, Bakersfield & Sylmar.

We'll keep you posted.

Let's Motor!

Robert

Was good to meet some new faces from the inland areas, sorry I had to take off early. Maybe we'll do the run again someday so I can do the whole run.

My car seems to be alright. There are no pools fluids under the car and it drives fine. The spring looked like a coil spring from the front axle of an older pickup truck. It came bounding out of the center divider directly in front of me. It hit the underside of my MINI about five times before it exited out the back and into the center lane where a full size van hit it and traffic almost stopped. I haven't jacked it up yet to look, but I'm sure there have to be some dents under there given the noise it made under the car. The exhaust is rattling a little bit so that will give me incentive to install the Milltek that's sitting in my bedroom. Thanks Robert for letting us drink all your beer, though I think your little dog could have drank us under the table if she tried.

Run to the Coast? How about sometime the week before, after, or during Thanksgiving? I'll have my Mini by then (I pick up my Mini on Nov 2!)

I would be extremely interested in traveling out to run along the coast, that would be awesome. It was cool to meet more members at the Madera Starbucks even though I didn't go along. Brad, your Borla exhaust sounds deep and very sporty, not like a ricer. I am considering getting one of those but I will wait for SRtech to install his Miltek now that he sounds more motivated to install it.Armando

Great Pics Itsdchz!

How did you manage while crusing at 110!

I really like the one from the side view mirror!

Definitley a Calendar candidate.

You did a lot better than Michelle.

I wonder if she ever got a shot of her odometer @ 50K?

SRTECH glad to hear that your car is OK.

Robert.

Had a great run and averaged 28.1 MPG. I filled up in Sausalito and drove to Grant Line, then Mt. Diablo, then Robert's place in Madera and then home to Oakhurst and filed up again. 340 miles. OBC said 29.4. Calculated was 28.1. So high speed and mountains still didn't kill MPGs. I was looking for that spring again on my way back to Sausalito today.

It might be stuck in the grill of the van it hit after me. It was good to see you and Monica. And her new MINI. That's the first Cool Blue I've seen too; I like it. Next MidCal meeting is 11/18. Hopefully your puppy is all trained by then.
