Dr.Steve, you ready to start the new steering wheel swap project? I'm thinking the BMW Sauber F1 wheel. You ready for this "Custom MINI" venture?

I'm thinking Steve is going to change the name of the shop to "Mini Service Shop" after the latest "custom" adventure.

Dr.Steve, JIMINNImachine said it was kinda a hairball for the install. Can you comment on the rating. A couple people I've talked to are looking at getting these quarterpanels & coming to you for the install. I said it's no more than 5 hours install time...tops.

I don't want to say too much here, but they don't fit without a lot of modding. You can come get your MINI. I have one side done but there is no way I can charge you for all the time involved to fix these things. I will only do the other side when I have time to kill. This is a project is for someone to tinker with in their own garage on their own time. It does look good though when it's done. I drove the FPD today and I couldn't hear any noise from the axles. I think that torquing them to the correct spec did the trick. It took bouncing my 200 pounds on the end of my four foot, 3/4" drive breaker bar to loosen this side. It wouldn't have been possible with anything less and I still thought I was going to break the nut. Anyway, come and drive it.

Steve

Hmmmmm....did you call M7 to see what's up with the mold & why it came out kinda funky? Randy & Sam said it was going to be a major pain in the azz and the installer would most likely be screaming bloody murder. From what JIMINNImachine told me you were pretty much at the screaming point. That's great news that the clicking sound appears to be gone. I'll PM you.

Major bummer dude. It was probably JIMINNImachine buying it for future investment potential &/or as a bedmate to the other one. Shoot I would've done it, but I thought your name was written all over it. Speaking of the machineman, where's he at in here?

The final head is still at the shop, but it is spoken for. Something about for the owner of a custom mini shop
Now that Audi looks sik, but it also looks like they forgot to put the struts and springs back in when they changed wheels

No bonus necessary if I charge him the actual time it took to install. One installation of those a week and I'd be set.

The world isn't flat enough to drive than anywhere. I make jokes about not being able to drive over the small pine cones in my driveway, that thing wouldn't make it over the acorns.

I took your advice MINICHEF and purchased some bargains from minispeed. It sounds like he is going to take some time off due to illness and recession. Hope everything turns well for him
