Sam @ MAG says hello to all...

Stopped by last week at MAG to set up an appt to have them figure out my MINIs rattle from hell. I've been chasing that blasted !#%*#@ rattle for a year. After talking with Sam he calmly said it is aftermarket brake pads. It seems sometimes they don't fit the calipers as well as they should. So today after watching the GP qualifying I dove in. On the left rear I found that the inboard pad was missing one of the spring clips that holds the pad to the caliper piston. On the outboard pad there were shiny marks, from it moving about every time I hit a bump clang bang! Damn that's it! New pads & all is quiet on the western front. Pays to ask an expert, wish I'd asked him about this a year ago.

Many thanks to Sam. He is a true MINI Guru & a hell of a great friend to all us MINI owners.

Oh yea, Sam says hello to all of his MINI owning friends.

Was in Columbus this week for a conference and when driving home today on 270 my yellow tire pressure light went on . I called MAG and they said just to drive over now for them to check it out.
I do appreciate all at MAG

I know not every one will agree with me, but I sure think we are lucky to have some very good friends over at MAG. It's folks like them that will have me buying my next MINI there.

Good to know. I have to admit that in three years of (low mileage) MINI ownership, I've been to MAG just once for 30k service and brakes. Glad to know they are there though.

Sam is a great guy and understands MINI ownership. I've been buying from MAG for 15 years and have always been treated right.

Our personal experiences and that of our MINI-owning relatives indicates that exceptional service seems to be the norm with MINI dealers.

One experience involved a fail to start while on vacation in Florida this Spring. MINI Roadside Assistance flatbedded our MINI, us, dogs and luggage two hours to Orlando MINI. Orlando MINI moved us to the front of the list, had us bring the dogs into the waiting area and got us back on the road in an hour.

The second experience involved the need to order a replacement shift linkage while having the annual service at Cincinnati MINI. They gave us a loaner to drive home and then drove our car the 180 miles to our house when it was fixed.

My son-in-law reports very good service at Midwest MINI, too and my brother-in-laws in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, who each have MINI's are pleased with their dealers' level of service.

Other manufacturers could learn a thing or two from MINI on how to provide exceptional customer service.

Rob
