NMR- Stuckys Music Diner

Hello folks,
I'm going to be making a run up your way this Friday to see a band I'm a fan
of play at a local bar/club called Stucky's.

Was curious if anyone here is familiar with it and the area it's located.
There are going to be three acts... with the headliner a Goth/electronica band
called " The Cruxshadows".

I'm looking for someplace to kill Friday afternoon while I wait for the show.
Any thoughts? I'm figuring I may just catch a movie to allow me to get some
rest... I'm guessing the show will last til 1AM or so, and I'm planning to make
the three hour drive back home afterwards <g>.

I'm not sure of the likelihood of many folks on the MINI board being a fan of
that type music... but if your in the area and interested in checking out the concert,
give me a yell. First drinks on me <g>. Heck, I'd love someone to talk MINI's
with prior to the music kicking in.

(Oh... I'll be easy to spot. Keeping with the Gothic black dress "code"....
I'll be dressed accordingly. Black Jeans, Black Puma Driving Shoes, and a Black MINI T-Shirt <g>)

I think you are talking about Skully's. Back in the 90's it use to be across the street from OSU, but I'm not sure where it is now.

It is on High Street inbetween the Short North and OSU. It is impossible to miss it as they have a really nice neon light sign. You could catch a movie either at the Arena Grand or Lenox. The Short North has a ton of nice places to eat as well.

Yep, you're probably referring to Scully's.... I haven't been there in a while, but I believe its still there. If you're gonna be in the campus area, stop by Hounddog's Three Degree for some Pizza (its at the corner of Dodridge and High St). The service is hit-or-miss, but the pizza is great. Before I became a corporate slave, I used to catch a show at the Ravari room, and then hop next door to Hounddogs for some greasy food.... or I'd go eat first, catch the band next door, throw up, head to the Blue Danube (the "Dube"), eat some more, and then throw up again..... I miss college

Yup... it's Scully's <g>

Had a bit of a brain cramp when I typed it in... <g>.

Didn't realize where the club was in relation to the OSU campus.
Figure they will most likely be crowded as all get out on a Friday
night... but hopefully I can find a good corner to stand or sit to
see the band as well as listen to the music.

Not sure what kind of a crowd to expect. Could be a bunch of
Goths invading the area... or just a typical college crowd.

Thanks for the heads up on the area and the food ideas.

If you see me driving around Friday.. give me a wave.
Just look for the WV plates "GnPostal" <g>.

Oh that is just because you spent way too much time at ****'s Den beforehand. The Danube never made me sick, but ****'s Den sure could.

Chuck, I'm pretty sure it was the Dube ...that macaroni they serve is a crime against humanity. Besides, the ****'s den is too far of a walk from Lincoln tower
