Alignment shops in Columbus

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good alignment shop here in Columbus?

I'm going to be installing camber plates & will need an alignment.

Thanks.

WOW - I guess you have all the answers about car issues but your own healthcare should be a priority

Sorry and I really hope you get alligned and your plates fixed. Up in Cleveland my neighbor is a chiropractor, which does you no good down south. I hope you have good health insurance too, deductibles can really be a pain. Poor Barbara.

I've used Auto Assets in Powell for mine. They have a good understanding of the overall balance of the chassis from their experience with their Porsche racing team.

When I did full coilovers on my 240sx, I had NTB do an alignment. They did a great job and it's pretty cheap to get a 1 year alignment deal.

Chuck: check with Northend Wrench [263-4978] on Indianola. Talk with Dave Wenger or Pat Albers [Dave is the owner]. They have an alignment rack. They do a lot of work for local autocrossers and they are themselves. These are car guys! I have been going to Dave for 20 years.

I've found that works well if you want to end up with toe in, but for toe out it's not the hot setup. Yep, LAME it is.

Thanks Mark & Andy I'll check them out.

I have also heard fantastic things about North End wrench from my neighbor who owns a MINI, Triumph and a variety of other things that Dave at North End is always working on.

Speaking of that -- the MINI has been garaged all winter. It had it's 30,000 mile service and oil change in August. Do I need to have it checked over before I drive to the Dragon? My Subie, I'd just get in a drive, but it also gets more oil changes and look-overs.

If you drive the MINI to breakfast in April I know a couple of silverbacks & weedhoppers who'd be glad to look it over for you. Best guess is it is just fine. Cooper will give it a free road test.

I'm no mechanic, but I'll give your MINI a brief checkup on Saturday morning. I've stored my Mini in my garage for the past 4 winters, usually not driving it or even starting it on from Thanksgiving weekend until the first of April. Rats usually eat up my plug wires , but thats usually about it. Check your air pressure in your tires before you leave and put some fresh gas in the tank and you should be good to roll. And I had to replace my battery last spring in my 2003, so....

I've had it out [before the blizzard] and put new gas in it. I need to check the tires. I'll do that before the parade and let you all climb all over it in April!!
Thanks.

I used the guy that Cooper recommended to me at NTB Polaris. Stas is the techs name & he did a good job for me. I'm very pleased with my custom alignment settings.

Since y'all are talkin alignments...
I'm gettin new tires in a couple of weeks. I don't think anything is out of alignment, everything seems to be ok.
However, should i still get an alignment?

^ Has it ever had one? I get one about once a year.

Dipietro Tire on Route 3 South of I-270. They've been doing my S2000 for a few years now and always take their time.

I went to NTB off Polaris to see Stas. He was pretty good. He autocrosses a Honda Civic hatch with SCCA. His car was actually getting a new transmission when I was there.

After doing a little over 1400 miles of spirited driving at MOTD last week, my "new" front tires are already completely bald. Since I'm running -1.9 front camber, this is the first time that my tires went bald on the inside before the outside. I ordered a couple new tires and plan to get my alignment re-adjusted at NTB sometime next week; this time I plan to go with a little less front camber and more front toe out.

As far as I know Stas is still at NTB Polaris. I'd recommend him if he is still there.

The NTB at Polaris has lots of experience working on and aligning Mini Coopers. The staff, especially Stas, is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

I've also been aligned at the NTB on Hudson & I-71 and the guys there are pretty good, but I still like Polaris better.

I'll second that. Stas is a really nice guy, he went over everything so that even a rube like me understood.
