Not at all... but I hate plugging in things there - the cables get all over the place and it looks untidy. I like running all my cables behind the stereo and such, so they're not in sight. Plus, the cig lighter is SWITCHED (meaning it goes off if you turn off the key) and sometimes it's good to have an UNSWITCHED power supply. My son's portable DVD player, for instance, has to be completely reset every time I turn off the car, since the complete cutting of power clears out the playback memory. Having it attached to an always-on circuit keeps the "Last Play" function. I also like that I can plug in my MP3 player to an always-on circuit and charge the player even while I'm away for the car (a complete charge of the player's batteries doesn't even faze the car battery).

Just somehting *I* like, but none of this is MANDATORY.

I think of Matt every time I see the comercial for Dell Blade Servers with the ball of wires that takes over the city. We need to find a way to do a clear dash with led's behind it that would be really cool or maybe mirror caps in clear with glowing led's inside or better yet a totally clear car...OK maybe that is a bit too far

Tell me one thing. If you do a clear car, how the heck can you motor with no pants on?

Put this here clear weedhopper mascot on your MINI Allen.

Chuck, believe me from someone who owns a Pepper White, you can still see the swirl marks.
I just got a Griot random orbital and can't wait till the weather breaks to try it out.

The most I've done to my MINI is rotate the tires and change the mirror caps...pretty advanced, I know!

To me, you're an expert. The most I've done is install the hula girl on the back shelf.
