I saw a Cooper D in Spain and a Clubman. the engine is a Toyoto. The estimate that saw was for 55 mpg. The engine is 1.4(i believe). Is it a turbo?

So I exagerated a little after I put the sail on the roof and draft people all the time I am sure it would get at least 101 mpg

Matt,

Is Kara going to drive the FJ "Clubman" on Saturday? Depending on the weather, we may need someone to clear the way to Outmotoring since Mark broke off his snowplow that last time we had snow!

If it's snowing we'll be in the 4WD, yeah. Otherwise, we'll be in the MINI.

It all makes sense now CHKMINI is actually JR! He was not in the hospital for natural reasons he was shot! With all the time you spend in TX you should get another Mini for down there.

Oh man you need 4WD if it snows.

Does that FJ Clubman have a center diff or is it like the 4WD of days gone by & locked solid front to rear when it's in 4WD? I used to be into 4WD, but haven't had one for quite a while. I know technology has come a long way since I went rock hopping across the continental divide.

Hope he doesn't catch another case of the crud when he's down there.

I have the better model, which has the locked center diff. It's full-time 4WD, manual transmission, with a 4WD with locked center and a 4WD low for extra traction - a real rock-climbing beast (if I ever find someone to teach me how to drive that way).

Yes they do -- live very near that intersection so it might have been him. Mike is finishing his landscape architecture degree at OSU and Erin is a tech writer at EMH&T.

The cold isn't my problem, it would be any crazy amount of snow, I have to leave there and go to work

I do not think there is any signifigant snow coming this weekend, but the high for Saturday that I heard was only 17, with windchill taking it to "Nice car lets go inside" or about 0.

(Sigh)... no, I DON'T need a 4WD for snow, but it's the best tool for the job. I COULD hammer in a screw with a hammer, but a screwdriver is a better tool. Why not drive the safest vehicle for the conditions? I have no ego to placate by driving the MINI all the way across Columbus in a sports car (even though it's FWD).

I have a feeling my wife will be running from the MC inside, whilst I'm wandering around the MINIs

I'll come in when I can't feel my extremities!

But a hammer is sooo much more fun than a screw driver, unfortunatly the screws tend to fall out when hammered into things.

I am fighting the urge to make more inapropriate screw references.

Sorry I made ya (Sigh) Matt.

Hammers, screws or vise grips, love em all. Your SUV, your choice. I wouldn't agree that your FJ is the best tool for the conditions. Big & heavy with high center of gravity. Yep that'll handle real well. Most vehicles I see off the road on a bad day are SUV's. Be safe drive carefully.

She can hang with the other ladies there. I'll be wandering about also.

I need to clean my car. It's no longer Hyper Blue. It's hyper salty, yuck!!!

Mark, I've seen Kim drive on track. She doesn't need to sway any more. She needs to sway a bit less. How about an antisway bar. How many extra holes have ya drilled in it?

Aye, my CR MC is not exactly what you would call "clean" right now...but I'm not about to try to stick my hand in a bucket of water with these chilly temps !

When's the next 60 deg day in January scheduled for?
