I'm gonna be there, since I have to go to the dealer anyway to pick up a part I had ordered. I should grill them as to why I have not received any freebies whatsoever from MINI.

Just found this thread. Did you guys all go out to MINI of Towson too ?
I thought it was great the whole time Frank was talking in the shop I was saying to myself yes, yes this is what my dreams are made of, a dealer that supports mods without warranty worries. I went back on Saturday to pick up some oil filters and stopped in to tell Mark how much good will they extended for having the event.

 

Sadly I missed out on this due to illness.

Greatbear, I see your in Fulton, do you know a fellow MCS driver by the name of Van in Glenelg, blue MCS w/British Flag on roof and a lot of Mods. I'm just over a mile from the roundabout at Ten Oaks & Triadelphia Rd. I'm also Modding my 03 MCS DKS/Bk as a DIY project one item at a time. Maybe we could have a MINI meet some weekend morning or afternoon and talk MINI's. There is Van (MCS), his son (MCS) also into Mods, yourself and I.
Sorry you missed the Towson MINI night out it was very informational. Mark the General Manager said they are going to have another one and would at least like to one quarterly if they can get the interest.

There is also Tom, CR MCS in Clarksville, plus someone in my own neighborhood with a DS MCS. I have yet to flag down this 'neighbor', and when I go looking for the car, it's obviously closed up in the garage of one of the two dozen houses there. Frustrating!

I'm all for quarterly MINI nights at the dealer. I am definitely for a 'local' MINI meet in our neck of the woods! It can even be at my place, but I'll go anywhere. I am usually doing something out in the garage, and I have been toying with the idea of a local 'pulley party' if there would be such an interest.

Greatbear, Great stuff I'll contact Van and see what he's doing, he can contact his son. i don't have his PH#/email handy it's at home. Van had his pulley installed locally by a guy I respect as a mechanic who has National Championships in SCCA AutoX. I have been considering doing my own in the spring, waiting for the shake out on the 17%, 19% pulleys. The one I currently favor is the Alta 15%.

Sounds like a plan to me. I am considering the Alta pulley as well. Once that's in, changes to other ratios are easy. I have a buncha other mods in the planning and ordering stages now. With the holidays, I wont have as much time to put into the car like I would want, but I'll manage. Gotta have some goodies for the Dragon Run in the spring. Keep in touch!

 

GreatBear, I talked to Van today his MCS is in the shop getting a few upgrades. I went up there to see how far along they were and watched them pull the engine.
Anyway we need another means of contact so I'm putting my email up on this profile till I know you picked it up and sent me a email, I'll reply with my contact information.
The next Towson MINI night out should be well represented from this area if we all go out for it. GreatBear, Van, Jeffrey, norm. I'm going the email them and ask about when are they having the next one ( kelly.daughtry@bmwtowson.com ).
