Hello everyone, I live in Boston and I own a 2004 Cooper S. I have been driving it for about five months and love it! I was at the autocross up at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last week, and plan on attending a bunch more.

Here is my car, so far I have done the Alta Intake, Alta 22mm Rear Sway, 205/50r16 RE760's, powerflex bushings in the front control arms, helix short shift, one ball, and the 17% pulley is coming this week!

I know it sounds like a silly question. What is 15%pulley and 17% pulley and the difference? the Pulleys seem quite popular in the world of mods.
gracias.

Hi Derek! We are going to have a short meet at Sonics on Route 1 tomorrow, May 13 at 8 PM. Please stop by to grab some drinks and have a good time with some local MINI owners.

17% is slightly smaller, creating a bit more boost....its definitely the way to go. I have been loving the new powerband and I have only had mine in for 1 day.

And I will be attending the Sonic meet, so I'll see you all there!

The pulley controls the rate of how much air the supercharger is pulling. A 17% reduction is more than a 15% reduction resulting to a smaller pulley meaning the supercharge can rotate a bit faster. When that happens you gain more boost. Your JCW's pulley should be about 11% compared to a stock pulley on a normal S model.

Hope to see your MINI at the Sonic meet tomorrow!

Nice to meet you folks, and thanks for a good time!

I greatly enjoyed stopping by the Sonic this evening, and just want to say thanks to all, and very nice to meet you.

Hailing from Wareham I likewise would like to say it was great to meet all you fellow MINIacs and admiring how you've all made your MINIs your own.

And Charlie, I liked the "cupholder delete" mod in your signature. I wasn't aware our cars even had cupholders. Someone will have to point them out to me the next time.

If I know in advance the next time our paths cross I will have the OEM "mega" cupholder with me - perhaps it might find a new home!
