Double wrapped the fron chrome this weekend with matte black vinyl. Looks solid w/ the eclipse grey and now my fingers hurt. Pictures will come eventually.

Paid 90 bones for a 60"x60" sheet of 3M matte black online and came in 3 days from Chicago area. Doubled wrapped the front stuff so I dont have to deal with chipping over its lifetime nearly as much. Im doing the tails this weekend probably and only single wrapping them since they dont get as much impact as the fronts do.

Why need a lift? Nothing a little dolly and some jack stands cant do?

Wow, you got plenty of the stuff! are you going to attempt to wrap the door handles and gas cap too.

Also, idk, I feel like it would be easier to do things like install the exhaust and what not. My driveway is slightly slanted so I don't' know how I feel about working with the car on stands.

Yeah didnt want to order the stuff twice and knew I wanted to double the front stuff. Not sure yet about door handles and gascap. Door handles seem to be a PIA to get off. Maybe at a later date. Beltline might happen sooner than later though.

Yeah I wouldnt jackstand on a slanted driveway...Glad my girl has a dad with a proper garage

I was going to try and do the handles while on the car if I did them, I was not going to even consider taking them off the car.

Also.. lucky you

Welcome, nice white MINI you have.

Nice warm weather for a week means MINI changes for me. Quick wash, new wheels and a lovely day long ride. iPhone shot at the office. Still need to do the tail lights and scuttles in vinyl but good shot of the front end at least.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Welcome to have you here ChristeY

Looks good man, I need to finish my black out trim.

Also I went out and picked up one of those aluminum tool cases and some egg crate foam and made a custom case for all of my new polishing stuff. Everything fits perfectly, and it looks very professional, I love it. There are so many uses for those cases! I have one for my Xbox 360, Paintball gun and gear, and car interior cleaning stuff.

Cutting the foam was a little nerve racking cause I only had one shot at it. But it worked out perfectly. I love being so organized, I must unofficially have OCD, lol
(btw the polishes I flipped for the picture but other wise they are upside down (rightside up) when the case is closed and sitting on the feet to avoid spilling)

Did a few Mini light modules in the last few months. The Boss went to school in germany so he really knows his stuff and really fair with people. I here him tell people all day, you don't need to fix that now, forget what the dealer said! he's been in Newton center for over 25 years

I live in Newton. Looking for a good/reliable/trustworthy mechanic that's closer to where I live. I'll definitely swing by sometime. I always have more and more stuff I want to do to the car. Do you have an address/phone?

Lawrence,

Congratulations on being a darned fast first-timer. An excellent debut!

I've just sent you another photo from Eddie Savage's collection, and I hope to see you this coming Saturday.

Kind regards,

Charlie

(Folks - this is called being ON the cones. Great technique, and I do believe this cone stayed up and in the box!)

Haven't posted in a little while on here, Hows everyone doing?

Bad day yesterday... brought my car in for service and they dented the rear quarter panel Mark at Herb chambers is awesome though cause no questions asked he's getting it fixed so I can't be too bummed.
Other reason why it was (sorta) a bad day... They gave me an 2011 S as a loaner... AND DAMN IS IT FAST! that and I love the Pop and burble from the exhaust and the interior accent lights are way better than in my car...
now I want an 11'

We need to organize a meet soon

Lawrence - you trophied again in the rain last Saturday. Note the "Problem with results" thread on the NER forums. And where the HECK did that 65 come from you sandbagger you - that was quick! Darned pesky cone hurt the run, but to pull over 4 seconds out on the last run is just awesome. Nice drive.

Cheers,

Charlie

Nice MINI. I think I've seen this MINI a couple times before. I'm always driving around Newton, Brookline, Boston, and Malden.

I guess the morning coffee *finally* kicked in!

I'm actually still in shock that a novice pulled out a 60.8 and 6th place in raw time! Like you said at the track, some tough novice competition out there that day!
