well, when i first saw the car, i really liked the looks from the get-go. and the more i see it, the more it has grown on me. then i read all of the reviews and such, and how everyone is raving about it. and i went to the vw dealership this past week to drive a new GLI(same thing, but in jetta form, same engine, tranny, etc. if anything gti may be a little faster due to a slight weight reduction) the new 2.0T engine felt really nice. it was smooth, quick, and very linear. ride was nice, but i dont really think it is as good as the mini from the start, but im not sure how much i can get from my 15 minute test drive. hehehe and on top of all that, the car is very nicely priced, and i may also be able to get a nice deal on one. and if i am able to get this deal, my payments will be very close to what they are now, but i will be getting a 0 mile car, which i really want. this is the other reason why i want one:

I think you are going to have to get realistic and come down to about 18k. Especially with 40k miles.

I have pretty much the same car in red with 26k miles and the TMV is 19k.

I don't care too much for the upcoming Golf Mark V. It looks like a Toyota Corolla. Has Volkswagen cleaned up their act in terms of product reliability and dealer network service?
