FS: OEM MCS Discs & Calipers

Just did the JCW upgrade on my 8/03 build MCS w/ 25k miles.

Pads are toast. Also have rear discs, if interested.

$100 shipped.

Check the pics below & PM's are best. Thanks.

Zack,

I didn't want to jack your thread but wanted to see how you liked the JCW brakes. I just ordered a set for my '05 S and should have them installed by the end of the month. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Pete

No worries.

Yeah, they're pretty cool. At first I was thrown by the softer pedal--thinking less braking force available, but the soft pedal is due to a lot more brake control.

To be honest, I haven't lit them up since I'm still letting them set--only a 100 miles on them so far--but, I've had to make a few emergency stops and was quite surprised at the added bite, considering the OEM brakes are pretty good.

They def overcook the stock runflats, by far, whereas the oem brakes would a little. I'm putting my PZero's on tomorrow, so I should have a much better idea of their ability next week.

Touch base w/ me then if you want an update. Later.

What do you mean by they overcook the tires?

The ABS is much, much more active, now. Telling me the stock runflats don't have near enough grip for the added braking power.

So you mean your skidding b/c of the added braking?

That's one way to look at it. When I put my PZero's on later today, should solve the prob.
