Based on the reflections of palm trees I'm guessing you're no where near me, but you might want to let the other fine folks here know where "local pick up" is?

Good luck with the sale! It looks great.

Just to note, this hood is only $480 from manufacturer, and that includes the CF hood scoop which this one seems to be missing.

Aside from the fact that it looks very cool......is ther any kind of quantitive table that says if you lose X weight it is like gaining X HP?

Its been said, for every 100lbs you gain 1/10 sec.....Never seen it translated into HP.

This is NOT a VIS hood! the hood that you see for 480 on ebay is a VIS one. VIS has been known sometimes to have fitment issues! ever since they got popular they've been slacking off to keep their quality standard. Also i've also lowered the price on my hood to keep it in the demand budget. full retail for my cf1 hood is listed at $637, so i think my asking price is fair. 480+ the 150 for S&H for the VIS hood would be 630 anyways. that's why pick up is preferred. wouldnt you rather pay for a quality hood rather than a cheap one and pay the same price due to shipping? this hood is a genuine CF1. You can find the hood on their webite at: www.carbonfiberone.com , use the seach area and type in "mini" it should come up. they also have a faqs page where you can read on the quality of their work vs the competition. Batmannie -

Did you see the MCS Spoilers 2 piece CF for a mere $9,999.00

For that price, MAYBE they would even keep the boot of the MINI clean!!

j/k - looks like the online ordering system defaults to the big bucks!

yea...not really sure what that's all about. when i was there, i didnt see any of those, so maybe they just put it as a default price so nobody would order it yet.

i have a vis hood no problem with it whatsoever. i talked with the owner at body shop and he said this is the best cf hood ever made.
