FS - 2002 Cooper. My baby needs a good home!

L.Mini's prized 2002 Cooper...

Pure silver/black roof w/shadow stripes, CVT, Premium package, fogs, cloth/sport seats, tinted tails (w/taillight mod), tinted fender reflectors, clear sidemarkers, aftermarket antenna, 17" aftermarket Mille Miglia HT3 wheels in gunmetal, also selling with the stock 16" silver 5-star pattern rims, 44K miles.

As many of you know, I have taken extremely good care of this car and it has served me wonderfully for 3 years. However I recently ordered my new S and can't afford to keep both of them...so my current baby needs a new home. The new car should be arriving in about a month, the Cooper will be available then (otherwise I'll never be able to get to work).

Asking $17K OBO.

Nice MC you got there L.Mini

Make sure to put an ad in www.cars.com or www.autotrader.com for a quick sale.

Photos is what sells the car! Get ad packages that allow for 10-12 photo uploads and runs until it sells.

I sold my '04 MCS in just 6 days after placing the ad in cars.com

Worth every penny IMO and you'll expand the exposure range to potential buyers that do not frequent dedicated MINI sites such as NAM.

Thanks so much for the advice.
I was going to put the ad up on Cars.com a little closer to the date of sale. The newspaper that I work for runs Cars.com on their website and I know how well it works from talking to the auto guys in the office! It's DEFINITELY worth the price.

I just figured I'd put her up on here first just in case.

Actually the sooner you put her up in Cars.com the better your chances for a quick sale. If you car is waiting to be loaded in the boat, it will be 2-3 weeks before the new MCS gets here. Time flies! This ain't 2002 when we had to wait out months and months for our cars Now MINI churns them out at a pretty fast rate.

OMG you weren't kiddin!!!
I just checked the shipping company and I was assigned to a boat on Friday...a boat which is scheduled to leave Wednesday and arrive in the states next week!!!

The best part about all this is...if it keeps going as planned, the new baby will be arriving right before my boyfriend comes into town. He is a MINI owner as well...and I know he would love to share in the excitement of picking up the new S with me!!

I'm heading on over to Cars.com as we speak!!

I might have a buyer for you. I've got a friend here in SoCal that's looking for an MC. I'll let her know. Her name is Jeri.

Thanks, man! You are awesome!
I just got the Cars.com ad up, too, so we'll see how that goes.

This weekend I am devoting all my time to getting DeeDee into tip top shape!!

Lauren, don't forget the airbags in the "ceiling" for the head. The little "sausages" I believe MINIUSA called them back in the day.

Best wishes selling Dee...sniff. Wanda sends her regards!

Thanks, Clo. I am going to miss Dee tremendously.
That's kinda why I posted on here...hoping to at least keep her in the MINI family in some way.

I gotta say though, even though I'm sad...I am quite anxious for my mean little ghostie's arrival.

All my love to you AND to the wonderful Wicked Wanda!

Lauren,

Would you take $10 and an $16,900 IOU? It's as good as money.

Hey L,

Good luck with the sale. As you know, I'm getting ready to sell mine as well. Dealer appt on Monday for a few trifles, and then I'm giving it the full autotrader.com and cars.com treatment. I'm surprised that the photos on cars.com are so small! I also hope to keep mine in the NAM family, but we'll see...

Your starting price seems roughly right - I'm starting mine at $18k, and it's a few months newer, 16k fewer miles, and minus the tasty aftermarket wheels and CVT tranny.
