Hey All,

Looking for a British plate for my MCS arriving sometime in summer of '03. Hate to wait but I get the mini I want (chili red/white with all packages and aero kit) for less than $25K and didn't feel like buying one for $30K with premium package only (that's what they're going for out here!).

Thanks

Eruo Plates... I just came back from the UK!! I have people over there that will get the tags made and then ship here!! That is what I'm doing, as soon as I get my Fl. tag number! That way it will be the same front and back!! Cool? Or I get personalized...

To get them made is only 15.00 or so... they say!! It seems you have to get your own tags made in England as the Country doesnt supply them.. cool?

I'll keep ya'll posted as I get more familure with this "tag thing"..

Just me................

The place where I ordered from could not order British plates anymore for some reason....which is why I had a German one made (white/black lettering) and it works fine for me.....it costs something like $30......

Cheers!

Is this street-legal in the U.S.? It's really really cool but I've never seen any on teh street before.... And is the space where the license plate goes on the U.S. mini the right size to fit the longer, thinner plate?

I am heading back from Germany with the european style plates and I contacted the state I am going to and I will have 30 days to get the plates changed over to New Mexico plates. But I will keep the plates and the european plate holders in case I decide to show the car in the future. Should add a little to the look.

Just received my new plate (MINI 1959) from Euro Plates, and it looks great. A day or so later, I received a new catalog from IPD, a Volvo parts/accessories shop, and they sell a virtually identical plate for about $12 less. Euro Plates sells the custom plate for $39.95, but with free shipping. IPD (www.ipdusa.com) sells them for $28, but will probably charge about $5 for shipping.
