First off, this is not the MOSS/Mini-mania glovebox organizer (GBO) but is my own design.

Their design just did not work for me. I wanted to be able to keep some soda cans cool during roadtrips. I also wanted a larger top shelf. Lastly, I incorporated a map slot to keep those pesky folding maps out of the way.

Here it is painted black. Sorry image is slightly fuzzy.

Here it is full of stuff:

I am selling them for $20 plus actual USPS priority mail shipping from WA state. This has been $5.75 to the east coast.

Email me if you have questions.

Thanks,

GMG

It looks like fiberboard to me. Costs about $7 for a 4 ft by 8 ft sheet at Home Depot. I would imagine you could make quite a few from one sheet. It's smooth on one side, has a waffle pattern on the back and is about an 3/16" thick. I just bought a sheet a few months ago. Used it as the backing for some cabinets in the garage.

couple of answers:

Mastenzales - yes you can pick it up or we can meet somewhere. I don't particularly like giving the shipping companies any more money than we have too. I am in Puyallup.

CooperSpeed/ronvan - Yes, I made it. It is made from hardboard (two different thicknesses) as ronvan said. A little bit of wood molding is used as a strengthener. Spent a lot of time with cardboard to get the deisgn done. The first one took FOREVER to do. Learned alot on it and have since made design improvements. All are handmade and checked for fit with my MCS.

I have made a few for MINI owners around the country, mainly east coast for some reason. Higher density of MINIs, I guess. By no means is this a mass produced piece.

I tried to make this GBO as useful as possible. I really think the MOSS design does not do the glovebox room justice. Why have a refrigerated glovebox and not use it? I also wanted a large top shelf to hold about a foot long piece of sheetmetal.

I also have been fiddling around with a homemade glovebox organizer. I have the cardboard template done but have not gotten around to constructing it yet. I was very lucky in that my first attempt fit perfectly!

I also had an idea after seeing yours that I may try. To expand on the air conditioned cold box thought, why not try to insulate the beverage area with the material from one of those "Glacier Gear" soft coolers and have it zip closed in front while feeding the back with A/C ? It might keep things colder longer and also protect the glovebox bottom from all the condensation dripping down from the beverage. It just may be the feature to send sales through the roof

It looks great, there was reason a reason I did not buy the Moss one yet.
How do you attach it?
How do you want the payment? Do you have PayPal?

I am in Vermont.

Happy motoring

minitothemax - cool idea. pun attack!

jcs - No real attachment. It just slides in. Once in, it does not move. I do take paypal or standard payments. Email me at t8nwa@yahoo.com and I will send you all my particulars. Thanks!

I just bought some black felt for lining the top shelf. Will see how that looks. I will include if it looks OK. Bought some red too so I can play around with mine. I will post a pic when done. Yard work awaits right now.

As promised, pictures of my GBO with felt and an added personal touch to the cooling holes.

The Logo is a royal pain to make and is hard to see in the car, but I like it.

Got mine with the black felt topper. It will get installed today. It looks nice sitting on my desk, but I'm sure it will look fabulous once it is in HARMINIs GB. Thanks GMG.

Does the glovebox organizer from RSpeed have a place to keep a soda as well?

Thought someone with the MOSS/RSpeed organizer would have answered. Hoever, I believe the shelf is too low to fit a can underneath it.

I also received mine. Fits perfectly, kept all my stuff from moving around on the crazy Litchfield run! An added bonus, the cooling hole is in fact the MINI symbol! Yay, my MINI glove box organizer! Nice!

Got mine last week and LOVE it. Support independent MINI-tinkerers and buy one from GoMINIGo!

Also, encourage him to construct a center-console organizer and keep us all from wasting money and letting things like this happen!
