Yeah, only if I am not squashed by the 800 pound gorilla.

Maybe we sick the Aston Martin & Bentley guys on them for stealing their logo idea.

So, GMG: Have you worked at all on a center console organizer yet? We're patiently waiting!

I received my GoMINIGo GBO the other day and it is great looking!!!! I got the red felt top which will accent the interior nicely with the CR exterior.

Unfortunately it has to sit on the table for two more months until I have a car to put it into :???: ........but I am sure the car will fit well!!!

Thanks!!!!!

OK - We have the soft pockets and the $50 shelf unit out there. some owners want other options.

Sooooo, what should it look like?

I personally would like to locate my garage door and gate openers right under the switches, placed back far enough that you can barely see them but within easy reach.

Next, the area is too wide to hold the edges of CDs. However, is storing maybe three CD cases there a good thing? If it is, be aware that the legs will be narrower than the silver uprights. May look funny.

Should it be a gaint, a mini really, caverness opening instead? shelfs needed? How big?

I am still not sure what I am going to put in there besides the openers since I have the driver's euro shelf. Best $69 mod there is.

Thoughts?

I just want a place to put a bottle of soda... You can't use the front cup holders on the Pepsi size bottles, and it's a pain to keep reaching for the back holder...

I have used velcro/double backed tape to stick the garage door opener under the console.. Can't see it, but you just need to reach over to hit the button to use it.

You don't know how much I wish I already had my MINI (still 2 months to go) so I could go out there and look at it and give you some ideas!!!!

Sure, this response is of no use to you, but when I get my MINI I'll check it out!!!! Your GBO is great so I'll be looking for your next product!!!

I got reminded that the felt colors are not in this post. So here you go. BTW, the lapis bluish felt does not photograph well at all. Look inside the red circle for the closest color of the real thing. Also, I bought a scroll saw that makes the logo hole easier. Wonder if I can incorporate that into the center area....hmmmmm! Man, I wish that honey-do list would shorten a little.

I really like the general design of the "$50 unit" in that it is hard, it fits the space perfectly, and it give options. I like the concept of shelf(ves)...

Please expand on this thought ^^^ I'm not sure that I completely understand what you're getting at. And yes, the ability to hold a couple of CDs would be nice. Does anyone have any idea if there are any attractive CD wallets that would fit in the space if one had an organizer put in?

Add my name to the list of happy GoMiniGo customers..

I just got my black on black GBO yesterday and it looks and fits great.

All the stuff I kept in the glovebox still fits, and doesn't fall out when I open the door anymore.

Thank you very much..

Steve

GMG:

I'd love to see a jewel case holder (yes, I like to keep the CDs in their jewel case!). If you make the sides wide enough so that the 'inside' width is the same as the distance between the uprights, there should be plenty of room. It can be installed from the side. All you need are the sides and a back angled correctly. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd do a template. I've even gone so far as to buy the side 'racks'.

As for garage door openers, I'm looking at the Smarthome gadget that splices into the high-beam circuit to trigger the opener.

Mine with red felt to match the CR came today. I wish the car had too but just a few more days I am told. It is even better looking than I thought.

My view is that these are getting nicer, even cooler than Alan's early photos of the one in his car: nice black paint and the MC...I mean RAF wings as the vent. Way to go Alan.

Thanks inioway!

Got some new colors of felt. Yellow (bright like corvette yellow), Navy blue (darker than indi blue) and light gray. As soon as my camera is fixed I will post some pics of these colors....

Still trying to get to work on the center console thing. Supposed to be rainy tomorrow which may give me a chance. however, wife's PC is begging for the rebuild and parts are here. She is getting impatient......

Hey tankboy, bad email...

Hi, I would like to order one of your GBOs in
red to go with my red kaleido / anthracite Mini
interior. You can use whatever colors you think
would look good. Let me know how much and how
to pay you. Thanks, Mike

Yes, but winding down a little. Soon it will be cool enough that I cannot paint them. Not sure what I will do during the rainy season here. Paint just does not like 60F, much less 40F.

If you post interest here, I PM you back. That is why you see a lot of supposedly unanswered posts.

and nothing yet to everyone on the center console. No time recently to play. Yard work is kicking my tail right now.

I'd like one. I'd PM you, but don't see how yet. What color do you think? I have VR/B.

Thanks,
David
