looks like a mini take on the osciari kit. That's not necessarily a bad thing. After seeing all the 07 aero kit pictures I'd say the aero kit is teh way to have one.

I don't know why they used carbon and I don't like the wheels, but I love the bumper aprons and side skirts.

Where are you getting the 230 HP figure?

Not disagreeing with you... I just have yet to see any of the specific info on the performance parts anywhere just yet... only the cosmetic stuff. Nothing but speculation on the potaential power one can get out of the R56 turbo or what parts will be offered in the JCw performance package.

So far the JCW is all bling, and no zing.

...and as much as I love the look and tuning potential of the R56 (JCW or otherwise)... it's no GP. That car is special in ways that are very-very difficult to describe. The pinnicle of the 1st gen. MINIs.

OK... admittedly digging the seats. Big time..

I sense an aftermarket retrofit kit coming for the R53!!!! Ok... wishful thinking.

Overall I ... like it...

Like that nonfunctional bar thing behind the front seats. That is hard to describe.

Wow, I'm really digging the new kit. Makes me half way regret my 06 order. But then again, I probably couldn't afford all the JCW stuff that makes it cooler than the 06 anyways.

wait so you're saying that the Chassis bar doesnt do anything? Doesnt it keep the body from flexing or something?

It's got a function: Tying down your groceries in the cargo area.

Yes, that is what I am saying. But it looks like it might do something, which is really what this car is all about. This carries through to those things that look like brake cooling duct intakes on the front bumper. Surely they must be functional, you ask? Nope.

Don't get me wrong, I would have been all over this car if they had (a) tuned the engine to have at least a 10% gain over the stock JCW, (b) had gone with some aluminum panels and smaller wheels to drop some real weight, (c) put in some real front seats, and (d) retained at least a minimal rear seat instead of an "aluminum-finished cargo brace bar". 0 for 4.
