The Jcw manual clutch, has anyone needed to replace it ?
Im aware of replacements being needed for the S after adding more Hp, not seen much information on the Jcw which has a different part numbers.
I ran the SD in the UK, which probably produces far more torque, it’s the same part number
so am I safe to conclude that this part is safe, at similar torque 350+ or 500nm?
or will running lower revs through a different gearbox make a mockery of any back to back comparison?
my gut feeling is that the diesel is going to be working this part far harder than the gas versions,
so no need to upgrade in my experience on this version.
the reason for posting this question is I am considering adding a diff for road use, quaife/wavetrack, and internet wisdom suggested you should be upgrading your clutch if dropping the transmission to replace the diff…saves labour down the road….
