Retrofit fog lights from S onto JCW?

I'm interested in an F60 JCW but I hate how there are no fog lights. It seems absurd, not just for safety, but also for a brand that is iconic for having fog lights????

Is it possible to retrofit factory fog lights from an S like these? https://www.minimania.com/part/G3NMX...F60-Countryman

Can you just swap those bottom trim pieces, or are the clip mounts or size too different? Is there an "open right" trim piece with a fog light? Would it disrupt the auxiliary cooler?

I believe you have to swap to a JCW bumper cause the lower grill air vents are a different shape and size. Was going to do this on my wife's S Countryman but we to decided that the fog lights were to important so I never went and did the swap.

Thanks for the info, although I actually want to do a reverse of that. I want to add fog lights to a JCW, ideally in a way thats more integrated than strapping extraneous ones on. It sounds like I may have to put an S bumper on! Kinda silly lol

I'd be weary changing the front bumper and adding factory fog lights to the JCW. The fog lights were removed, and the bumper redesigned to favor the extra cooling needed from the horsepower increase. The fog light locations house additional coolers that won't get the airflow needed when you change the bumper and add the fog light shrouds.

If I were you, I would add a rally light kit, and keep the JCW bumper and ducting.

Thank you! I figured that was the case but wanted to ask folks here who knew more in detail. The S still lets airflow in but I wasn't sure if the cooler takes up the whole space or more of the outer half. If the latter, it wouldn't lose much cooling power. But the overall system has enough trouble with cooling as it is so I respect the need to keep it in top shape.

BTW I gathered some materials as a backup for anyone who wants to do the same. Aside from the usual circular button you can add from the S, there's a trim piece that can house an additional auxiliary lights button: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...OE&SVSVSI=MF60

Be aware that button is for the OEM driving light kit. It will not work with aftermarket lights. Since Mini uses a CAN bus system, the switch doesn't latch like you would expect, but send a voltage change / current differential signal to the OEM lighting controller, which senses the button press as a command to turn on the lights.

That's very helpful to know. Another thing to consider for OEM vs aftermarket...
