'13 GPII clutch vs '11 JCW Clutch

Are there any mechanical differences between the '13 JCW GP clutch and a '11 JCW clutch? We just bought an '11 JCW cabrio with 7K miles and the clutch feels much heavier than the GP's. Is this normal?

The part numbers are the same. However, at some stage in the model cycle they changed the clutches and they became lighter.

Both my GP's have really light clutch action. My 2008 JCW was much heavier. However, when I got the clutch replaced recently on the JCW the new one was light, just like the GP's

I own an 07 MCS and decided to go ahead and replace my flywheel and clutch since the transmission was dropped for other reasons, anyhow my stock clutch was harder to push in compared to the new clutch! I first thought, "this doesn't feel right"! I thought that the tech screwed up the bleeding of the clutches hydraulic system, it's easily 5 times lighter than before.
