Who knows this Anniversary JCW?

Anyone know the background on this 22 Anniversary Mini JCW? I’d love to get in touch with the previous owner and/or know the backstory on what exactly was added to this beast. The obvious is the OZ WRC wheels, Mini Pro Exhaust, but from there, it feels like a damn GP when launching. Can’t even put straight line power down until 3rd/4th gear. She’s a riot!

Thanks! I knew of him prior to picking this up. He has some nicely detailed videos.

Love those wheels !

They're a bit heavy, though. I wish I could drive 2 identical cars with just different wheels. One @ 16 lbs each and one at 22 lbs each. That's the only way to know if you'll really feel a difference. Most folks claim you do, but I have my doubts. Human memory is not that accurate.

Figured out the “tuner”. It is a Racechip GTS, turned all the way up to 7. No wonder it was wild to try and drive. 295 HP is just a bit much without a solid LSD. Anyways, it’s now sitting back at stock tune, as that’s where it belongs IMO. Engineers would have given it more power if more power actually worked well.. it does not…

it doesn’t seem to really be taking away from anything to be honest. Feels just like any other JCW. If anyone can feel the difference, I’d be real shocked.

The Miniac here. Now that I've seen what my car would look like with white OZ's, I may have to buy those wheels.

Daily a car with heavy wheel for a month, then swap them out for light weight wheels. If you can't tell the difference, I feel sorry for you.

Yes their is a huge difference for MINIs in rotational mass. The OEM wheels are usually pretty heavy unless its the rare forged MINI wheel or the Gen 1 MINI 15" wheels. Think their was only a couple like that for forged. Couple examples were the R60 JCW R134 and F56 18" 506 style was a forged barrel I believe. 19" JCW Rallye Spokes 536 are flow formed.

I think I bought this Mini.

Did you ever get a history?

Did you remove the numbers?
