Some pics from underneath the car. Note that the swaybar endlinks are still made out of plastic, which is sort of surprising. Sway bar seems to be about the same thickness as the JCW but it is apparently stiffer. Undertray beneath part of the engine is gone. Also big brace added in place of the thin sheet metal piece that is on the JCW. I'm sure there is a lot of other stuff that is different but that is what I noticed initially.
You dont need a VIN just an updated etk. Dealers just ask for that, what i need is the part number off of that sticker or stamped into the brace. Some part numbers are not on the dealer etk as the car is so new. So keep that in mind.
Thanks for the underside shot. In the past when i was the first to get GP2 parts I took my phone and shot under the car on the stickers and then looked them up. Before they were in the dealer data.
You will not be able to get an updated ETK as BMW stopped the disk versions a few years ago, check realoem.com and you will see the cutoff date when they stopped getting a disk from whatever dealer or employee was supplying it to them. ETK is now with dealer login credentials only. Dealers will need a vin to lookup GP parts jut like Alpina BMW's. Some GP and Alpina parts have to be special ordered with a vin and proof of ownership that is sent to BMW before they will release parts. Currently the parts in inventory are only being used to build production cars and nothing can be ordered without photos being sent to BMW proving the parts are needed, ie accident.
I’ve already spoken to two friends of mine who work for MINI. One is a Motoring Advisor and one is a Service Advisor. As with all GPs of any generation, you will need a VIN to order GP parts. The best hope is that eventually, someone will either make replica parts or someone will eventually total one and parts may be able to be purchased from a junk yard.
If you have a VIN you can order! I have ordered several parts for evaluation, and yes they are great "positive" samples for molds, especially the rear wing, which has the final price of 3 kgs Polyurethan 40 Euro
The front spoiler is not only a bargain for "the few", but also for the ones which knows !
Thanks, they are in the data, but i have to double check if they were released yet. Most of the time no matter what part if its brand new GP3 or any MINI, MINI likes to hold the stock then they release it.
$1362 for a strut bar and $467 for a rear brace... Seems overpriced (understand its manufacturers item). That money that could towards a new trade
Thanks for pricing it for us.
Yep, GP prices can be very high and bounce around, the highest price parts that i have seen were from the MINI goodwood. Some of the prices are very high for parts. 1K floormats anyone?

Looks like a 45 degree from the caliper. fittings end looks the same and over lentgh might be different. We saw that in our ECS SS GP2 line development.
The GP3 brakes on the front are the same as the F54... maybe F60 caliper but in steel " Braking is another area that MINI focused on. Despite the size and weight difference, the 2020 JCW GP makes use of the same 14” front rotors from the JCW Clubman but in steel for better heat dissipation. This should allow for both excellent performance and fade resistance at the track."
https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/34306894453/ is the brake line used which fits the JCW and NON JCW cars. My guess is that its used on the GP3. Could be the same line and a grommet more or a hair longer? Or the same and MINI just like to make new part numbers, we seen that before.
For those of us that have put on a GP3 grill, how about finding the piece that fills the gap between the grill and radiator?
I can't seem to find it anywhere cause no one's part finder is that up to date, and I need a GP3 VIN.
It's the piece that attaches to the top of the GP3 grill and mounts it up the the stock air intake. Circled the bolt up area.
So need this but the GP3 version...
