Braille 21 installed before this weekend

My Braille Battery came in today and it was just a bit less than 1/2 the size of the stock battery. Figured out a way to install safely for now and it started right up

The Braille actually weights right at 21 POUNDS...The Stock JCW Battery weights...51 POUNDS. A 30 POUND Diff...more than I expected.

Doing a new alignment tomorrow for this Saturdays AutoX and will see what happens. Since I started the season late I have to beat the guy in first the next two AutoXs
to win the year end LOCAL Championship...

In reality, it would be kewl to win but I am already very happy with my Mini JCW and my improvement in driving...

What model battery did you get? 30lbs off is a great savings especially in a front heavy car.

How's the battery been working out for you and what's this nonsense of "registering" a battery? Did you use bimmerapp to register it?

Battery has been working just fine.
Didn't go thru any "reset"
Sometimes car is parked for 2 weeks...starts right up with no issued
AutoX it and no problems
All functions work properly

My battery just died in my R53 & I'm considering the B3121 as a replacement. Save about 20lbs... Any update on how your Braille is holding up after 2 years???

Had NO ISSUES with the Braille 21 for over 2 years with over 20 AutoXs and about 10,000 miles...sold it to a friend for his Porsche because I decided to go even lighter with a Braille G30-6 Lithium battery at 6#s!!! It also went in with ease and NO ISSUES

That's awesome, can you please share some pics of it installed in the engine bay. And can you please let us know which mount did you use for it and how did you install it? Thanks in advance.

Is this the one you got? https://braillebattery.com/products/...15825970528367

Did you need any adapters, did the car's battery connectors fit these terminals fine? Sorry for noob questions.

Thanks Darbys2019MiniJCW
I'm going for it. Probably have to put it on a battery tender for the winter months but it's in the garage anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.
Old battery. 43lbs
Braille B2618: 18.5 pounds.

Good info here for the r53

Other than fitting the braille battery, are there any issues when replacing a standard MINI battery with one of these Braille batteries?
