New 2019 R54, also no more dinan?

Just picked up my new jcw clubman!

Classic trim, manual, DDC..

I ordered mine just before they released the 2019 tools and locked away the white silver metallic in the Premium trim. Mini Canada made an exception thankfully!

While at the dealership I asked about installing a Dinan Elite but apparently their contract ended as of this month. I didn't ask but I assume it won't be covered under warranty now.

They were mentioning an alternative that one of their service members uses on their mini, I'm curious to what that is.

Will have to get a rear sway bar I think

I installed my Dinan Elite on my 2019 F60 in about 15 minutes. Simple install. Our dealership still installs them out here still though (Virginia).

The warranty is from Dinan, not MINI. So you would need to follow up on that with Dinan.

There are a lot of tuning boxes now from various companies, too many to list. Also ECU tunes as well. AFAIK Dinan is/was the only company to offer a warranty on the car from any issues MINI won't cover resulting from Dinan chip.

Those cars need rear sway bar mucho much. I drove my friends F56 MCS and it was nothing like my car wrt body roll. It handled pretty well, just a bunch of roll. I realize have a different model but still........

Definitely need one! Just have to figure out if I should get the Eibach front/back kit or the NM rear

I read that the Eidach version cancels each other out. IOW the stiffer rear bar reduces oversteer but the stiffer front bar adds oversteer back in. While the car will ride stiffer the end result is null. Leaving the stock front bar in and adding a thicker rear will reduce the inherent oversteer that the MINI has.

That is what I was told when I did my rear bar on my 2007 MCS by the Way Motor Works people. In fact I don't think they even offered thicker front bars on those cars. I remember mine was $200 for the part, $100 to install. Only took about 1/2 hour in 2008.

Not entirely accurate, with the Eibach front/rear kit, there is still a bigger upgrade in the rear sway bar, and a marginal upgrade in the front, and the car ends up feeling much more planted all the way around. Much more predictable lift-off oversteer, and definitely less understeer (which is the issue minis have, not oversteer).

That is an Urban Myth,

The front bar doesn't add understeer, when paired with a rear bar.
Adding just a rear bar will induce oversteer, yes.
Adding a larger front bar will work with the rear to rotate.

Ive been on H&R front and rears a few months now, and the car is perfectly neutral.
