Had my 2015 JCW serviced yesterday at the dealer. It’s on its second set of brakes at 20,000 miles. They did a complementary brake inspection because my maintenance warranty expires tonite at midnight. They measure 8mm front, 9mm back. I know that’s good but can I go 10,000 more miles on that? I’m older drive more conservatively. I never jam on brakes. I need to make a decision today to renew my maintenance plan or I will lose it, but it may be a waste of money to spend for a 1 year renewal if the brakes last longer than a year. Can’t, afford a 2 year plan.
The lowest cost at a dealer for maintenance plan is: ($1000 for one year, $1600 for 2 year) .They quoted $1400 for complete front brakes. I suppose I can get it lower at independent garage but want OEM parts.

You do understand that BMW/MINI don't manufacture pads and rotors!!
Its either Zimmerman Brembo or ATE
They charge over $500 for the pair, aftermarket premium is over 1/2 of that.

Before I headed to Keystone for MTTS, I had 6 mm in front, and that lasted me for about 3500 miles. Conservatively, that's around 1500 miles per mm. I'd say you'd have about 6-8k miles before it hits 4mm, which is where the sensor will start squeaking at you.
