Here's a fun thing to do put in your vin minus the last 3 digits. It will show you all vehicles booked/loaded in and around yours. Last time I did this mine was booked and loaded the next day! So keep typing. :-)

 

I confirmed my slot today, and it's definitely going to be a 2016MY. No major changes, except that the loaded pkg went away and is now going to cost $300 more for the same items (premium + media). Hopefully the system let's my MA place my order today! It didn't work yesterday.

Mines made (9th) and is at the dock.... gets loaded on the 15th and gets here on the 22nd. Maybe 2 weeks to get to me) so that's under a month from manufacture to delivery!

 

Well I bit the bullet on Saturday and ordered a JCW. Looking at a mid August to early September delivery. Had a number of issues with the configurator but most got straightened out at the dealer. The only thing I still don't know about is the seats. I wanted the Cross Punch Leather, so nobody could tell me if these were the Sport seats or the JCW version. The neighbors will probably never know we switched as it will be the same White Silver with a black roof like our current ride.

 

You can't get the Cross Punch leather on the JCW Sport Seats. You will get the regular sport seats.

 

I believe that to be the true statement. The dealer couldn't say that with specificity. I don't care as I have those seats with the CPL in my F56S and am more than happy with them.

 

You can order a JCW with cross punch leather. That's what I have in mine. Options 481 Sport Seats and NEE1 Leather Cross Punch Carbon Seats. They have been great!

 

My car has been built! Now, more waiting for delivery!

Ordered 5/8 and got a production number 6/5 and heard from my MA today that production will not start till sometime in July. 😒. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas to get here.

Nope. Mine is on the Cronus Leader on its way to California through the Panama Canal. Left Southampton on June 10th, but takes 3 weeks to get to California (including a stop in San Juan, PR for some rum and beach time).

 

I don't actually have a slot. After calling to the dealership today, I was told that there was only 1 slot given to only one dealership (out of 34) in the western region for July. Our dealership didn't get that slot. So I think I misunderstood it initially; I have the top spot for our dealership for whenever they get an allocation, but they don't have one yet. It will be a MY16 though, and a manual transmission.

(I was also told that the two people higher on the list said they weren't in a hurry and that if someone else needed it sooner that they could be bumped up --- so I really thank those folks, whoever they are!!! Very much appreciated since I'm borrowing a vehicle at the moment.)

 

Our cars must've gone down the assembly line at the same time. Maybe we should coordinate taking delivery the same day too.

 

That would cool. Let's see what ship they end up on and if it works with our schedules.

 

Checked again for the hundredth time and it shows my car departing tomorrow, arriving in Baltimore on the 7th. Getting closer!

 

Well I have some bad news on mine. As some of you know MINI were decent enough to help me buy a new JCW because of all the problems I have with my MCS. Well my car is in transit to the dealership and I was finally presented with the deal and upon viewing seemed very heavy on the back end...extra dealer charges etc. I had already given them a $2500 deposit but never saw an actual contract. I would not have agreed to this contract and have told them so. Hopefully they will give me back my deposit but basically I am out unless they waive the $569 other dealer options charge. Drag but there is no point in getting a discount if they load all the numbers on the back end!

 

My dealer has those seats in the JCW they have got s demonstrator. They are the spot seats, not the JCW seats.

 

Has anyone gotten their manual yet? I got my production number 6/5/15 but still has not moved to status 150. I'm getting close I can feel it. 😁😁😁

 

Mini have stepped up to the plate with mine and given me some extra cash....so mine is on the truck and will be at the dealer within a week. May not be here though so won't be able to get it for a few days later! Can't wait.

 

I just got my VIN today. Just a few more weeks. Woot woot!!!! I can't wait!!! 😃

I ordered my Chili Red / Chili Red auto JCW on 6/18. I received the prod # the next day and the VIN and Scheduled for Production status on 6/19.
I just called ASK-MINI and my car is scheduled to go down the line on 7/06.
I have to get busy and sell my 2010 R56 S. But wait , we're scheduled to head for northern Michigan the last week of July for MINI on the Mack. If I sell the 2010 and the JCW is delayed then I miss MINI on the Mack. Or I'm putting in the break in miles on the trip.
Such problems to ponder . . .
