I had it flashed on my S with 15% and BMP intake and didn't notice anything but a rougher idle

The JCW kit is designed as an entire upgrade package so the supercharger with reduced pulley and new cylinder head are factored into the ECU upgrade. Ask JCW what they might have done specifically by email.

Performance wise we do not see much of a difference from the ECU. It's not meant to be a great stand alone upgrade. How much of the ECU it actually affects is limited.

Once the JCW kit is installed any aftermarket ECU upgrade would be voiding the ECU upgrade from JCW. Results have not been tested and can vary from car to car depending on other upgrades.

The JCW ECU upgrade might provide for some smoother throttle response but otherwise might not be immediately noticable for street or autocross driving. I don't think it affects mpg- at least not that I have read about.

I had my JCW dynoed a few months back and did wideband 02 with it as well. I'm convinced the JCW ECU is not a tune but a detune. The car was running around a 9.5:1 A/F ratio!!!! There isn't a single ECU tuner on the planet that would tune a car and leave it that rich. This is more rich that a 15% pulley car with no ECU so I'm convinced the ECU does squat and in fact may actually hinder performance.

Paul, so what's next? Are you going aftermarket ECU? If not, you could always convince your dealer to install "normal" S software.

I've got the Unichip. It didn't dyno too well a little while back but it looks like it was my dyno method that was flawed, my butt dyno says it's making a difference. A/F was HUGELY improved.

Paul,

Did you ever get a chance to run new dyno tests on your Unichip set-up, as you mentioned in your earlier thread on this?

Not yet. I just changed jobs so I'm busy like crazy. Not to mention that the dyno I've been going to, while close to my previous employer isn't as convienient any more. Once I get some time I'll dyno it again.
