Our new (to us) 04 JCW

We just picked up what my wife and I feel was the diamond in the rough. We were looking to replace our main commuter car ( gen 1 Scion xB ) . We wanted a low mileage ( since it will get 400 miles a week )couple year old car. This way we can rack miles and not kill value. Wanted an other scion be found this 04 JCW .. Not a lot for options, but has leather and stage 1 JCW kit.

Yea....that hit 10 years ago with the first one. It will be nice to mod one again, since I have left our GP unmolested. Wife is still doing stuff to her 06 JCW..and the classic is still all original.

That is a beauty - I too found the diamond in the rough - I thought mine was a low mileage one with 40K on it - Nevertheless it's wonderful finding an 9 year old car taken care of as I/we would take care of one.

Enjoy its a beaut

more than 3800 miles on it - it's amazing the price they're asking for this car.

Wow. That is a outstanding find. I had found there are quite a few under 40k miles 04's out there... I still anticipate having to do work on ours. The common issues the R53's had.

You do make a good point - while mine has more miles the previous owner
has replaced all the "known" issues, some under warranty and some not - however, not all have the issues - some drive them a 100k without incident - my tech said to me "it depends on what day of the week it was built, I guess"

In the meantime, drive them and enjoy owning them - I do get a smile
every time I start the thing up
