I need a R50 tuning kit

I posted in the for sale/wanted section but I thought I would give this thread a try to because it's all JCW R50. I'm trying to hunt down a JCW R50 tuning kit. Used or possibly a rare New one. Bits and pieces would work but I must have atleast the valve cover with plaque (or just plaque) and a plus would be the paper work for them. Don't need exhaust or intake and I can still find a head. if someone might have just a valve cover with plaque and paperwork that would work too as I can probobly hunt down a head to go with my other pieces.

Here is a head https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ead-bolts.html

You might try these guys http://www.minigenuineparts.co.uk/mi...or_Covers.html

Yes they are out of the country but some on NAM have had good luck with them. Did you try your local dealer?

Mini sport doesnt have them either. I work for a dealer. The kit is NLA from BMW. I will have to purchase these parts used. Like I said, I can piece one together but the important pieces ( plaque on valve cover and paperwork ) are really all I am looking for right now. You can actually still buy a new head! Thanks for your help though.

I think you are talking about the JCW Tuning Kit for the R50 correct: The full kit is NLA but not the parts of it.

Dependent on the year:

Here is the Silver JCW Cover ( has JCW black plaque on top ) that goes over the front of the engine. #5 in pic

Paperwork : This link will help.

There you go hope that help. What other JCW tuning stuff do you need?

Thanks for bumping this topic as I've learned something new when prompted to look into R50 Works stuff --- I didn't know anything about John Cooper Motorsports and exactly how it came under the official wing of BMW/MINI, so that's interesting.

http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/04/...ni_to_buy_jcw/

Before JCW,
it was JCM.

This post by FlyinScotsman has some pix and lists old part numbers:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post2794428

Although it seems most of the parts may have just been already existing stuff rebranded, like the Pipercross air filter mentioned in the above post, or these JCM brakes which are AP, it is interesting that the old school and historic COOPER logo is used...

...I'd reckon that that particular logo was not sold to BMW?

Anyway,
I like watching the old videos too!
Neat stuff.
