I bought one to go on my red 2009 FJCW then decided to just buy the whole car instead.... GP0444 and Classic GP0808.

Very nice! I'd be late to work every morning trying to decide which one to drive.

Finally gave in. ECS ordered! Koopa is happy.

Has anyone had theirs painted gloss black or wrapped in real carbon? My current diffuser is Jet Black and I love the way it looks. Anyone?

I have got absolutely no experience in any form of car DIY except detailing.

Is this install something I can attempt at home or I better get a garage to do it?

Also how many hours of labour should I be expecting to pay?

When in doubt farm it out. It can be tricky if you don't have the right tools. Best done on a lift, as it makes it so much easier. They charged me 1 hour and it took the guy less than that as he had done one other before mine!

It's very easy to do. Only just a jack stand on one side. Took me about 40 min to do. It took me longer to go and look for the screws that didn't come with.

After seeing a JCW at the dealership, with the Aero kit as well as the GP2 and not being able to justify the 40k price tag, I decided to order the pre-painted Aero kit AND the diffuser. Can't wait for the parts to arrive!!! :-)

Looks great.

Some on the people on the forums have reported they have wraped the center section with graphic like 3M 1080 Carbon Fiber or Di Noc Carbon Fiber with no problem around the exhaust.

To give you some ideas.

Howdy Folks,

Looks like the under-body paneling is in short supply in the US. Any thoughts around installing the diffuser without it?

The diffuser will install no problem without the underbody panels. You can simply add them later. I ran mine that way for several months waiting to get my underbody panels installed.

I did the same, you can try ECS tuning see if they have the panels.

When you get the underbody panels, you might as well look into getting the front engine shield too. I'm 2 weeks out for mine to complete the underbody aero.
