Can I get a little help identifying my new R53 JCW purchase???

Hello,

I just purchased an '03 R53 with the dealer installed JCW kit, the problem is that I don't know how much of it is actually there. I want to replace the air filter but by the looks of it I don't think I've got a JCW airbox??? From what I can tell I've got the exhuast and head...no upgraded brakes and I haven't had it up in the air so I don't know yet if it has the suspension (I doubt it though)

Any help you all could provide by looking at the supplied photos would be greatly appreciated!

You have the early JCW. It did not have the airbox or the 380 injectors.

Thanks! Is it worthwhile to upgrade the injectors? Now that I know it's the stock box I'll be upgrading that in the near future.

Yes you can do the 380s but to gain from them you will need the upgraded JCW tune.

Dealer would have to do it. But there are other options out there.

My car is the same as your 2003 and it has a kit. I just replaced the injectors to 380 and software upgraded from the dealer $180. Also, got the jcw air box with an amsoil air filter. Car feels better.

$180 for the software upgrade plus the cost of the injectors or $180 all in? I'm aware that wouldn't cover the cost of the airbox.

I'd go with an Alta CAI or something similar instead of the JCW box. I have an '04 JCW, which also didn't come with the JCW intake, so I installed the Alta. Absolutely love the way it screams at higher RPMs.

You can easily add the JCW airbox, or if you want to save a few bucks get the DDM intake.

For the injectors you can install them and they will work, but the JCW tune will maximize them for you. The dealer can do it or we can also supply a file to use them.

Thanks for the info...I've been noodling over a few options and it looks like you guys offer the JCW airbox at the best price.
